Bills v Jets - Battle for Division?

Wow. Guess nobody is taking the Jets serious. The Bills are 13 point favorites on the road vs the 5-3, 2nd place Jets who are winners of 4 of last 5. Seems like a really high spread for a game like this. No way I am betting against the Bills though...

winners of 5 of last 8 or .625 Jets vs .857 Bills

Bills who are a 1 extra second downing for a field goal away from being 1.000. Bills who beat each one of the current AFC division leaders.

Jets who are a competent Browns D not blowing a two score lead with less than 2 minutes to go and a Tua injury away from being .375

They are winning games by hiding Zach Wilson.  You can't take a team seriously when they are doing that.

He also is still making God Awful decisions with the ball.

I would take the points to be honest. 13 is too much to be giving up on the road especially against a divisional rival. Plus, the Jets defense is good. They will give the Bills offense some problems. The Bills will win but I don't think it will be a complete blowout. Sabres 24 Islanders 14.

Maybe this will demonstrate the gap between the two teams more clearly for you, NGBILLS...

Bills point differential on the season:  +105

Jets: +17

These two teams aren't close in overall quality/skill.

Stop looking at records; they can be misleading.

Yep. I actually like what I’ve seen of him talent-wise. Pretty mobile, very good arm and accuracy, etc. But still very much playing like a rookie.

Pitt also blew a 2 score 4th quarter lead against them.

Wilson is really really really bad.
If that kid starts running backwards like he likes to do against Buffalo he’s going to take some brutal sacks.
The Jets coaches seem to have a really hard time trying to tame him and settle his game down. He does remind me of josh a little when he played chaotic and tried to do too much his rookie year, but Wilson isn’t making the positive plays to give hope like Allen did. Not in the quarters I’ve watched him play anyways.
But I’ll leave the real analysis to Jimmy Spags or whatever his name is. The youse guy 😂

Just because they are 5-3 doesn't make them good.  Bills will beat up the Jets.  Jets will drop to 5-4 and we'll start to see them even out.  Schedule hasn't been overly tough.  I think they'll win 2-3 more games the rest of the year.

Jets have the toughest schedule in the NFL the rest of the year by DVOA

Jets probably should’ve won that game yesterday if Wilson didn’t make some really stupid throws… Still think they are better than the Patriots but overall a 8-9 win team… The Dolphins are better team. Don’t think any team challenges the Bills for the division though.

Dolphins are definitely better than the other two, Bills DB's had better learn how to knock down long bombs to Hill and Waddle. If you force Tua into making mid-range throws, that's your best bet, his arm strength isn't good enough to fit into windows. But all he has to do is get the ball in the vicinity of those two guys and they seem to have glue for hands.

As long as Allen doesn't roll out a reprise of his late game form yesterday, there shouldn't be much contest vs the Jets. I do think their defense could hold them close awhile though, especially if they find ways to keep Allen on the reservation.

Patriots are struggle bus really, I thought for sure Belichick was going to swap QB's in the 1st half.

given we are 13 point favorites, i think that makes the odds of us driving the JETS differential negative after next week about 35%

I'm just saying 13 points is huge on the road. The Jets beat GB a couple weeks ago in GB by 17 and put up 40 on a good MIA defense. Not worried that the Bills win this game or think the Jets are even close to us. But 13 points...

For the Jets, this is their milestone game. I expect them to play it like there is no tomorrow. Don't know if they have the talent to beat us. But this might be the most physical game we play to date.

The 13 pts seems out of whack.  A bit rich for a road fav.  BUT, having come off a lackluster 2nd half, I think McDermott does a good job of refocusing the team and they win pretty big.  Probably cover.

The worst thing for the Jets is having Allen come off the field and calling the win over the Packers "gross".  So now they are going to be dialed in for the Jets.

Because their QB is trash (that is a compliment)

The Jets literally cannot score.  Wilson threw his first TD pass in 4 games in this loss.  That's an entire month of no touchdown passes.

Ha, that's entertaining!  Alternate theory... Bills fans with a good memory voting up White on the Jets site!

White didn't finish game... Flacco did and went 3/3 with a TD.  So let's hope they don't dress Joe again
