Quietly the Dolphins are the 2nd hottest team in the AFC right now

5 straight wins, dominant defense and Tua is finally rounding into form playing the best football of his career so far. Some real young stars on the rise in Phillips and Waddle on both sides of the ball to boot.

Combined with the Patriots that's 11 straight wins and no one is going to want to play this team either if they get into the tourney.

Thankfully for the Bills they have already swept them and have key tiebreakers but this division is looking to be very strong next year even if the Jets don't improve. Assuming the Bills don't end up winning the division this year it's going to be a major missed opportunity in hindsight.

They literally may not lose a game to finish the season

The Jags would like a word with you. 😉

You know funny you should mention that Sean Mcvay in his postgame press conference specifically mentioned the Bills as why the Jags shouldn’t be overlooked and the Rams promptly curb stomped them

The Dolphins have two cupcakes and then the Bucs and Pats.  They always play the Pats tough, and it's possible they'll catch the Bucs when the Bucs have the one seed locked up.  So, yeah, who knows.

I thought the Dolphins would be much better this year than they started out being, and I don't know why they sucked so badly early in the season.  i don't think even finishing 10-7 is a lock for a WC slot this year, not with all the pretty good teams in the AFC all aiming for 11 wins or better.  But if they do make it, they'll be a tough out.

Baloney! The Bills are set-up to improve as much as anyone next season, we just have to do it.

Nail FA and the draft and we're back as a Super Bowl Favorite, Baby!

(Count me as one POed fan if the Bills don't actively build a Super Bowl roster this offseason. We're setup for it, imho... That is, we don't have a lot of wasted resources and money heading into next season and we have a fixable roster. I think if we can add one dominant OL we can have a very good OL next season. Hopefully Dion can have a good offseason and come all the way back for next season. Morse has never been a bad problem. Williams might prosper with an offseason practicing at RG.  We need to add a total stud LG plus add a swing OT. Feliciano becomes #1 interior sub.

Then, imho, we need to add a FA TE like NE did last year (and somehow NE got two!) to pair with Knox so we can play some 12 O and offer defenses different looks. We need a big, fast starting RB of course. Maybe Singletary can be his backup, IDK? Finally, I would like a big, fast WR to play opposite Digggs. Let's give Allen some big targets.

The defense needs less work but work t does need. First off, everyone in Buffalo knows we need another good DT whether we keep Star or not. If not, we need two new ones. It's looking like Ed is proving worthy of the one year bonus so there's that. We need a new fourth DT probably as well. It's time to cut ties with Jerry and Addison imho and let the kids earn their draft status byplaying. We just need the fourth end. In the back seven we are set aside from White's replacement. If there is anyone that can find one it's McBeane. Hopefully, Wallace stays along with Jackson but we add a CB better than either of them. Then we will be very solid when White does comeback.

This is very fixable.... Allen will be better adjusted to betting the new defenses designed to stop him.... JA can win us a Super Bowl, imho.... build the lines! Get bigger!

Go Bills!

One move I'd like to see is McBeane poach J.C. Jackson from the Pats (serves them right for poaching Stefon Gilmore from us).  Jackson will be an unrestricted FA after this year.  Jackson paired with White, while Poyer and Hyde are still playing so well, would be great, plus of course that weakens the Pats.

Rats, I read the schedule too quickly, sorry, and thanks for pointing that out.  Their other game is against the Titans, not the Bucs.  The Dolphins could have the defense to stop the deHenry'd Titans so the same logic applies. They could make it to 10-7, and once again be just outside the playoffs.

I figured.  I'm just an a-hole.  It would be really Dolphin like if they are 9-7 and a win gets them into the playoffs only to have the Pats destroy them in week 18 with nothing to play for.

Quietly the Dolphins are destroying the terrible teams... just like the Bills.  Anything can happen, but Saint Tua?  At some point Tua being under center will catch up to the Dolphins... you'd think.

Is he that different from Drew Brees? Not mobile really, but can move in the pocket...super accurate and can make quick decisions...I don't know about arm strength, but I don't recall ever hearing about Brees having a rocket arm.

I'm not calling Tua the same as Brees by any margin, but isn't that a potential comp to be equally fair?

Nope, it's  a huge insult to Drew Brees to be compared  to a guy who might not even be in the league in a few years.

Could be in the long term, but Brees arm talent was underrated early on.  It's way too early to compare Tua to Brees in any case.

Miami had a difficult start of season and end oftheseason with an Oreo middle of the season.

Jags, Falcons, and Raiders were last second losses.  Had the won jags and falcons they would be 8-5.

if NE lose 2 of 3 to buffalo and Indy and Miami wins out turns week18 into a winner gets 2nd place and possibly a WC spot.

it’s my early favorite fir week 18 nbc game

We'll be talking about the draft, not caring so much about the Dolphins.

who cares about the phins at all?  this team absolutely owns miami, no matter when we have to play them.  remember the last game last year?  the last game that miami needed to win to get into the playoffs?

i'm just more surprised that a poster who went by hightfootballiq, and posted constantly about the phins destroying the bills last year, is actually try to do it again this year.  some people desperately need attention, and this guy needs it in the worst way.

Computer?  This is what he does when his mom lets him use her phone while she’s banging the milkman.

Yeah, like a 1994 royal blue Ford Ranger that blasts Limp Bizkit on Friday Nights.

Do you think he's decent enough to listen to it with headphones on or keeps it low thinking no one else can hear it at all?  I think it would be difficult to watch porn if you have to get your ear close to the speaker.

I think its almost a lock that a 9-8 team makes it based on remaining schedule.  Lot of 50/50 games left on like every teams schedule.

Cincy is 7-5 and plays SF, Denver, Baltimore, KC, and Cleveland the rest of the way.

Denver is 6-6 and plays Detroit, Cincy, Vegas, LAC, and KC.

LAC are 7-5 and play NYG, KC, Houston, Denver, and LV.

LV is 6-6 and plays KC, Cle, Denver, Indy, and LAC

Indy is 7-6 and plays NE, Arizona, LV, and Jax

Cleveland is 6-6 and plays Balt, LV, GB, Pitt, and Cincy

Baltimore is 8-4 and plays Cleveland, GB, Cincy, LAR, and Pitt again.

Pitt is 6-5-1 and plays Minn, Tenn, KC, Cleveland, and Balt again.

Tenn is 8-4 and plays Jax, Pitt, SF, Miami, and Houston.

Miami is 6-7 and plays NYJ, NO, Tenn, and NE.

Buffalo is 7-4 and plays NE, TB, Carolina, NE again, Atlanta, and NYJ.

NE is 8-4 and plays Buffalo, Indy, Buffalo again, Jax, and Miami.

KC is 8-4 and gets LV, LAC, Pitt, Cincy, and Denver

Remember when we thought Rousseau was better than Phillips. It's not really close at this point.

I'm not sure what has happened with Groot but he's a perfect example of what's been wrong with most of this teams high draft picks under Beane.....comes out of the gate strong and then seems to disappear almost into bust status.

Either way tonight would be the perfect time for him to show up and do something and have the type of impact he did against the Chiefs because many other players drafted around him are having major impacts for their team right now.

Bust status in 11 games his rookie year?  Yeesh.  He hasn't flashed a ton as a pass rusher but he's been solid in run support.  I don't even know how many pass rush snaps he's been getting recently either.

Who cares they still suck

No they don't facts matter and just like the Pats they are red hot playing dominant defense and winning games which is all that matters.

Bills are 3-3 in last six so until they can win even consecutive games again they aren't in the same conversation.

I'm rooting for the Dolphins.  They play the Pats at home the last game of the season.  They usually play them tough.  I want this game to mean something for the Dolphins.  (I know last year versus the Bills the game meant something, and that didn't work out so well for them, but the Bills had their number last year...and this year for that matter.)

My overall point is the Beane never seems to draft anybody that's not just a JAG outside of Allen. But yet he seems to value draft picks as a means to an end.

No Groot is not a bust but he hasn't done anything of note this year outside of the two dolphins games and the big play against the chiefs. The stats says his pressure rate has been almost nonexistent outside of those games.

Also when you look at picks like Epensena and Basham it's very puzzling not only because of the fact they aren't doing much for this team and/or getting playing time, but the players out there we could have had instead (i.e. Creed Humphrey) reflect badly on this drafting and talent evaluation.

It's somewhat ironic that the Dolphins may be the only hope the Bills have of winning the division or still getting a top seed in the AFC but it's a moot point  unless the Bills somehow find a way to win tonight.

That is no point if the bills win tonight 😂 we are comfortably in the drivers seat if we beat NE…it’s like a double win because they have little to no chance at the division record tiebreaker with a loss tonight. We are a massive favorite to win the division if that happens…people are also talking like we’re a full game behind them which we aren’t…we are tied in the loss column
