Phillips, Star, and Shaq were on last year's team. The Ravens are a running team like no other and the Bills D line has shown zero ability to own the line.

Well Phillips was the worst run defender we had so that one isn't much of a loss

Hoping the bills jump out early and just take Baltimore our is their running scheme

Running schemes are fine - but they're like a brees passing attack.  One holding penalty - one play getting stuffed - mis-read, etc. and the drive now requires more of a conventional 3rd and long conversion.

A lot of people will talk themselves into believing the Ravens aren't good because of early-season results, injuries, COVID issues, etc. It's foolish. You can think the Bills are better, you can think the Bills will win, but thinking it's going to be easy or laughing at the notion that the Ravens could give us problems is foolish.

They are still a really good team. Stop the run and set the edge, make Jackson beat you with his arm. We are the more talented team but this is the playoffs. Anything can happen.

Hollywood has a lower leg injury- not sure what the deal is with that?

Good DBs, some good pass rushers - they played a soft schedule, but they are a capable group for sure.  I think buffalo is going to spread this team out quite a bit to identify where the extra rushers are coming from.  Using a 4th WR forces them out of packages that i think they're comfortable in - and you can move davis in as a TE if you want to roll with more of a max protect.

The nightmare scenario has arrived. Objectively if I was an afc playoff team the last team I would want to see is Baltimore. Not Buffalo.

How is this a nightmare scenario?  You do have to beat some good teams to win a super bowl.  KC is the one who's feeling pretty good I think.  They get the team with the weakest offense, and weakest defense remaining in the playoffs.

Put on a purple jersey and get a room already.     Sheeeeesh

They lost their best O-lineman and can’t pass the football, congrats on sneaking past the Titans with 1980’s football.

Definitely. Baltimore's offense is a lot more explosive than Indy's by comparison though and Indy had no problem nickel and diming us all the way down the field until their drops ultimately cost them. We'll need to play better than we did this past week to win.

Certainly winnable and we should be favored, but Baltimore is a very good team much like we are.

I think people are scared of the Ravena more than they should be. Bills have shown they can stop either the run or pass. They'll stack the box and force Lamar to beat them with his arm and I think that's where his inaccuracy will show up. I flat out just don't think he can do it. If the Ravens play Man and Peters is on Diggs then Diggs will be open all game.

I am confident that McD will scheme the Bills' D to control Jackson's rushing.  The issue will be Dobbins and the TEs.  I hope the Bills play aggressive man vs. the TEs and keep Tre on Brown.

On offense, it all comes down to effectively dealing with the Ravens' blitzes.  They will do everything they can to confuse the OL and Josh.  I'm actually glad the Bills have an essentially non-existent running game because the Ravens are difficult to run against anyway.

In last year's game Josh had open receivers he missed...he let the blitzes affect him before he came alive in the 4th quarter.  As we all know, this is a new and improved Josh.

Is it Saturday yet?

😂 I am guessing this post was a joke.  The Chiefs laughed at the Ravens.  Mahomes threw for 385 and 4TD's.  Jackson threw for a whopping 97 yards.  Bills will beat the Ravens in a similar fashion to the way the Chiefs beat them earlier in the year.

I’m quoting this to remember after the game. While I hope you are right I cannot get there.

The Chiefs would not rather face Buffalo than Baltimore.  Buffalo is built to beat Kansas City.  I highly doubt KC is worried about Lamar keeping up with Mahomes.

When I get the notification that you've replied, I can always count on you being contentious and overconfident.

The seeding played out as designed; the Chiefs got the weakest remaining AFC team. Could have still gone our way if Tomlin had any feel for the flow of the game. Oh well. One thing for certain, Josh Allen will have earned that contract extension if the Bills emerge with a win on Saturday night.

It’s not my fault you dance around here praising Duke Williams and the Ravens.

If the Ravens plan is to come after Allen and try to play man behind it, all I can say is good luck.  Allen has 26 TDs and 2 INTs against man coverage and has been blitzed more than any other QB in the NFL.  Bills excel at blitz pickups to the point Allen can stand back there many times and scan the field.  I would look for a lot of deep over routes like they did in the first Dolphin game.

Holy crap. How do you remember positive comments an individual poster made about Duke Williams a year ago? Do you keep a spreadsheet or something? I must have made quite an impression!

No matter how you look at it, from here on out it’s Murder’s Row.  The Ravens could pound the rock right down our throats and end the year for the Bills.  Up next is with KC, who I regard as the clear cut favorite to win it all or the Brownies, which would be a dream come true, they are going to need all the breaks again to make it happen (screw the Steelers btw).  If some how you manage to make it past all of that, you are playing the best team in the NFC.  I suspect the Pack.  Nothing will be easy.  It’s time for the D to step it up and control the game the way they did last year.  The Onhad better get back to what they do and put some serious points on the board, no more trying to force the run, we know it’s not going to work.  Set up the run with the pass, the team isn’t good enough to set up the pass with the run.

They have two very good man corners and they like to bring the blitz.   Clearly they are able to take away the run and make you one dimensional.    The Receivers will have to bring their A game and beat their guys for us to win this game.

Tomlin lost all respect from me last night, what an AWFUL game he called.  The 4th down puss out handed the game away, but don’t let the fact he went for 2 when it wasn’t necessary and then took the 1 when you absolutely go for 2, then came back to go for 2 in the same situation, after already screwing the pooch all be forgotten. He sucked.

Pssh, we haven’t had the run game all year, can’t take away what we don’t have.

Take away the run you say? Why, yes please, Pete Carroll.

Just like the Steelers, (and Cleveland) they played the same easy schedule against NFC East and AFC South.  Could even argue easier as the way it worked out Baltimore played the 1st place teams in the two off divisions which were NE and did have KC.

But do feel outside of Buffalo, they may be the 2nd hottest teams right now, admittedly while playing weaker teams.

The Bills need to be prepared for a physical game. If the Bills can get out to an early lead they will be fine. If not than its going to be a lot rougher but I think the Bills can do it.

As long as they don't start the game by pinning us inside our 10 over and over, we should be able to put up some quick points.  If we are able to take the run out of their gameplan and contain Jackson we will be good. And yes, I know that is easier said than done.

Make Jackson pass

Titans tried.  Couldn’t get it done.

Ravens are a bad Matchup for the Bills.

they have good enough corners to play man to bring pressure. They are going to. I wish the bills had a game breaker to swing and screen to.

They are a great running team and can attack the edge with speed. Strength of Bills defense is pass coverage, which is nearly irrelevant vs Ravens.

this is not a gimme. Bills are going to need some big time playmakers.

Harbaugh is also a coach w/ tons of playoff experience. I think he's in the upper-tier of NFL coaches, for sure.

As Marv Levy used to say, where else would you rather be?  Saturday night divisional round against a challenging opponent - it beats spending January trying to figure out who has the best shot of beating the Pats...
