The Titans will point out he doesn't admit he was there or admit he knows it happened.  But if it did happen, it's because they're working out to feed their families and he would stand up for them.  Hypothetically, of course.

Maybe I'm wrong and you guys are right, I dunno.

I don’t like the Steelers, but I think they should get a forfeit win from last week, and get their actual bye week back as well.

Obviously the Bills get a forfeit win as well

I agree. In addition to fairness, the Bills wouldn't be the only asterisks team.

I think a simple “you should ‘fess up now because we’ll subpoena personal devices as part of our investigation if we have to” would solicit some honesty

YOLO is this official from the League??

I don't know about "official," but as per One Bills Live (which I reported on the Titans Bills thread) multiple local media sources in Nashville are reporting this.  If there is that much smoke, there is usually a fire burning somewhere.

How does that make any kind of sense?

The Titans have to forfeit for breaking the rules, and those wins should go to an NFC team???

Not following the logic

How is giving 2 AFC teams a free W fair to the rest of the AFC teams fighting for a playoff spot?

Let’s say the Steelers get into the playoffs but they do it by 1 win and let’s say the Browns don’t... how is that fair the Browns who will actually have to play the Titans?

The only reason the Bills are getting a forfeit is because of when they happen to play the Titans. Would you be happy if the Pats get the forfeit win and that allows them to win the division for example?

My thinking is, if it’s an NFC team, it has less playoff implications. AFC record and common opponents are more important than your NFC record.

I ain't YOLO, but what I am getting from this is a group of students spotted adult football players they identify as Titans practicing on the football field of a private school.

They took photos from too far of a distance to ID the players.

This has been reported on the website of a former writer for the Tennessean newspaper, for ESPN, and a host at a Nashville radio station: Paul Kuharsky

https://www.paulkuharsky.com/news/titans-broke-protocols-gathered-for-a-workout-last-week

Absent someone ratting or better pics, I'm gonna guess the NFL will investigate and decide it can not conclusively prove this, or that it was the independent action of the players and those players should be fined but the team not disciplined.

I don't think the NFL has made any announcement yet.

Those photos appear very clear and can be enlarged and easy to identify Titan player imo.  Plus how are they all going to keep the "stories straight" as to where they were at that time, cell phone data, cars with tracking on them, etc.   Threaten the players with bigger sanctions if they dont cooperate....if the NFL wants to get the evidence I dont think it will be hard at all.

Didn't Tom Brady have an answer to that?  He lost his phone or he dropped it in the commode or something?

If it goes to subpoenas or other legal action, we will play (or not play) before the issue resolves.

When has the NFL ever taken swift and harsh action?

He did...and the player and team still got punished.

And I agree on that second point, which is why I think they’ll scrap the game and make no decision at this time.

@AlbertBreer

Sources: As part of Monday's conference call with HCs and GMs, the NFL showed the group pictures of Titans players breaking protocol by not wearing masks in the team facility. Part of a presentation that also showed the Raiders' charity event, coaches on the the sideline, etc.

The only thing that sucks about this is we may not get to see Allen and Diggs light it up.

I selfishly want Allen to lead the league in as many passing categories as possible and I’m afraid missing out on a game hurts those chances 😭

To be fair the current passing yards leader is a ***** joke.

I mean if the Bills get one that'd be fair to the Steelers but I doubt the NFL wants to mess with this too much.

It was just part of his normal phone destruction program that was perfectly normal and something that perfectly normal people do all the time. It just happened to coincide with an investigation.

I'm sure he has destroyed his phone countless times since then. But don't check in on that.

Forfeit...don't forfeit.  I don't want any of the Bills players near anyone on this Titans team.  Teams that are trying to do the right thing are threatened by teams and team members who are not taking this pandemic seriously.  That is the important issue.  Saffold's talking about livelihoods.  How about lives and health...not only of players but their families.

Yes, sounds like it will be hard to prove who was there and even moreso it the team sanctioned it.

Under normal circumstances, the NFL would try to sweep something like this under the rug with a slap on the wrist.  In this scenario, however, there's SO much pressure and SO much on the line, I think they will be forced to drop the hammer on the Titans.

The facility was supposed to be closed.  The doors have locks.  He players were let in. The facility was clearly not closed.  It's pretty simple.

I’m in a 400$ league and I need Diggs this week. I knew I should’ve just quit FFL this year. *****!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe take Bills defense?  Opposing forfeit it automatic 2-0 shutout victory by rule.

No, this was at Montgomery Bell Academy, which is a private school in the Nashville area.
