All true, but the only thing that literally no one can determine right now is whether Tua will be their franchise quarterback.

Now, I know there are more than our fair share of Bills fans who are certain Tua will (a) be successful or (b) be a bust, but no one really knows how he will respond when his time has come. Will he stay healthy? If he is successful, how long it will take for his success to be consistent? Two years? Three?

We're watching three highly-rated top QB draft picks crap the bed right now in Mayfield, Darnold and Rosen.

Well, technically speaking, we’re only watching two of them.

Any comment from our resident grumpy posters and Josh Allen haters?

I’m an Allen fan.  Only thing I could think of:  He left 13.3% on the table????

He really did show an increase in accuracy and better decision making in Game 1.  Opposing defensive players, like Van Noy, see it and vocalize it.  Allen will continue to improve this year.  My biggest criticism from Game 1 is the lack of ball security on the two fumbles.  Cost the team points.

Not from me. I'm a huge Josh Allen fan.

However, what is this stat supposed to mean compared to completion percentage?

I wonder if you see Siran Neal and the big nickel a lot this week. Big enough to play WLB and good cover guy . He’s about as close a guy to Milano as you can get. Play 5 DBs most of the game with Neal as the hybrid.

I also think you see Milano out but Dodson and Edmunds playing. Dodson I think would get the start over Klein but Klein would play obvious run downs

I think we'll see Neal on Gesicki, assuming Milano is out. I also think Fitz to Gesicki will be the dolphins primary weapon.

Do the odds makers still give a home team three points in the season of Covid?

HFA isn't a uniform number by any means and a lot more goes into calculating it than just fans. That being said,  most pro bettors have moved every HFA number towards the mean. The Dolphins have historically had one of the stronger HFAs in the league, and I'd bet South Beach had something to do with that. I'd say the Dolphins probably have more like a 1.7 point HFA as opposed to the 3.7 they have in a regular year.

To be fair, they were dealing with a lot of assumptions about where Cam was in his physical recovery and how Belicheck would use him

Not really. It’s borderline negligence that they weren’t prepared for that game.

This would be a good strategy in theory, but we are short on corners with Norman on IR and Neal is likely to fill in some at CB. But yes I think there will be some of this package on D.

If one of White, Wallace or Johnson goes down it’s actually fairly easy. Neal goes to CB and Marlowe replaces him as the down player. Marlowe has had a lot of game experience the last couple of years on and off so he is good depth to come in. Also could be time to see what Jaquan Johnson has who played well albeit in week 17 against the Jets last year

Neal lines up as CB even if White/Wallace/Johnson dont go down. He lines up there fairly regularly.

What data should they have used?

Historical data.  Cam is one of the all-time rushing QBs.  To act as though the Pats*** would not utilize that part of his game is pretty unbelievable.  Anyone can look at the Pats*** roster and realize they are obviously not going to win games airing it out.

I’m hoping that Flores turns out to be just another Dick Jauron.

not to mention he's an older qb with just a one year deal..... I'd drive it like I stole it.

Jerry Hughes looks like super Jerry Hughes... he looks like he put on like 15 pounds and is more powerful... Also... Dotson could be a candidate for replacing Milano next year.

They have kept Dodson around (through a domestic violence situation) for a reason...not sure it's to replace Milano but they certainly like him.
