I am excepting a story 'Farve may come out of retirement and play for New England." You may be right but it's highly likely they'll keep all offseason activity in one location (team headquarters) as much as possible.
Chas56
I'll miss camp at Fisher; I live right up the road in Fairport. Even though I only go a few times, it never fails to get me hyped! I see the banners, crowds and buses. I know the boys are in town, and it just adds to the excitement of the coming season.

Johnnycage46
I will take anything at this point that allows the team to get ready and for their to be NFL football this year. I usually only go to camp once per year anyway. It is cool to have them around here in Rochester, but if teams training at their own facilities helps football to get back this year, I'm all for it. corta765
Hi everyone I work at SJFC so I can fill in some things that I’m allowed to say. First Thad Brown who is a broadcaster here in Rochester says the Bills plan on Fisher despite the report and the plan is still Roc. You are correct we have had to furlough staff so the campus is wide open. But August 1st we are expecting everyone is at least back to work full time. The expectation as communicated to us is Bills camp is the NFL/Bills decision we won’t say nay. Cuomo opening back up camps and hopefully are campus phase 4 at the end of June is a good sign regardless of camp or not. Personally as much as I want the Bills on campus because it’s a blast as a fan and worker there, our priority is just that we get our students back. If that in anyway is slowed by the Bills there then I don’t see them there. On a more fun note the campus really is pretty open and I have seen plenty of players, I literally ran into Mitch Morse on a jog around campus. It’s really cool and it’ll kill me to lose it for the year because long term I think it isn’t staying but I want our students back. 3

MiltonWaddams
It may just be me, and I know that likelihood is real, but I always felt as though training camp at SJF had a slightly collegial atmosphere whilst a training camp at OBD may be a more business 1st atmosphere. This team, in the majority, is very good socially together and doesn’t require much of a bonding experience. What they do require is experience on working their butts off to get to the end goal of a Super Bowl win. Miyagi-Do Karate
All of this stinks. But so long as it increases the chances of regular season ball, we can live with it. my big concern is once we start playing preseason games, and teams get positive cases—- hoping that that doesn’t cause widespread panic and delaying Or canceling the regular season. Hopefully they have a plan in place because positives will be inevitable.

blacklabel
No change for 22 out of 32 teams. I gotta assume most players and coaches prefer holding camp at home. I know there are some coaches that see those three weeks away from home as a way to bring a team closer together, but this just makes more sense. Ethan in Cleveland
5 hours ago, YoloinOhio said: I wonder if this Bills regime secretly prefers this Of course they do. This gives them the perfect out to not return to St. John Fisher. It costs too much money and there is no need to have camp away from your state of the art training facilities. I get it that it is a fan favorite and I admit the last training camp I saw was in mid-80's in Fredonia. But I just don't see the need for the travel to Rochester to train. Hold a joint practice there once a fall. That would be well received and well attended.
TigerJ
I'm about 20 minutes away from St. John Fisher now, and I went over to training camp once last season. I enjoyed it and will miss it this year if they don't do it. It the league does dictate that they stay in their own facilities, I assume it's to avoid the challenge of trying to get fans to practice social distancing at a facility that does not lend itself to thge practice

Dorms usually have communal showers, which are a big no-no according to guidelines for re-opening sports. They will stay in a hotel, with private showers, one player per room. GunnerBill
I think the Bills at Fisher might be over for good. They are contracted for next year but could easily compensate for that if they wanted to and there was no move to extend as I understand it even before this. Yeah, the “company line” has always been to say how much they enjoy the environment, and I think McD certainly tries to get the best out of it, but now that they’ve built the culture, the team is experiencing success, and they have those awesome facilities in OP, the original reasons for going to Rochester (facilities, expand fan base) aren’t really an issue and staying in OP will save the team $$$.

What if after a game, it turns out 20 players test positive on each team? How can they be ready for the next week’s game in less than 7 days when most of the roster is positive?
