krf139
Tua declared for the draft today. Teams are going to be skeptical given his health. Josh made strides this year, but I'm not at all confident he's the guy to take us where we want to go. Especially as we start losing starters on defense and Josh needs to do more, his weaknesses may become even more glaring. So I ask - should we bite on Tua if he's there at 22. Let's not forget, the Redskins drafted both RGIII and Cousins to cover themselves. The QB position is too important not to cover ourselves. 1. Serves as a safety net in case Josh struggles in year 3 2. If Josh progresses in year 3, we have an asset to trade Edited January 6, 2020 by krf139 1 1
YoloinOhio
Tua is declaring but still rehabbing and unsure of health status. He’s clearly a great talent but has had two ankle tightrope procedures and a serious hip injury. Thoughts on Miami making him their QB of the future? jrober38
Miami should sign Brady and surround him with weapons with their three first round draft picks.
YoloinOhio
I feel like they will bring Fitzy back and redshirt Tua if needed. I don’t know if he will be durable but he’s really good.
LABILLBACKER
If I knew he would bust I'd have no problem Miami taking him. Prefer him to go to the NFC.

Rc2catch
Miami doesn’t worry me much unless they make multiple big moves. They’re 2-3 years away from doing anything. Fitz helped them look competent this year at times but I’m not sure they really have much to build with yet. Very important draft and free agency for them. I just don’t see many players they’re going to build around yet. Parker and Gesicki and Wilkins I guess.
RyanC883
depends on who else is available at 22. If he is the BPA on our board I'd take him. We either have a good backup, JA replacement, or at worst, trade bate. Plus, you can run plays with both Josh and Tua in the backfield.

I love their receivers - Parker is a beast now that Gase is gone, Preston Williams, Gesicki, even that jitterbug guy they have returning kicks. They need a RB and OL big time.

ALF
With Chan in Miami they can play Fitz and maybe Rosen . I don't think Tua will be recovered for next season. They will need a better OL after trading Tunsil.

Bleeding Bills Blue
I see the chargers trying to jump miami - they need fans and QBs are the best way to get them. If washington is sold on Chase Young at 2 - i could see them moving to 3 (and giving up a lot in the process). Just now, nickrage said: Could he be an option at 2 with Detroit? unlikely ready to play 2020 sit behind stafford I think detroit will try and move down to either steal an extra first from miami, or grab a 2021 first and other picks from LAC. Defense needs help, and the offense is a lot better with stafford than... blough? This is all under the assumption his rehab goes well and workouts etc. Edited January 6, 2020 by dneveu
Rc2catch
If we are in win now mode it’s a bad move to leave real day one impact contributors on the board for someone who may never even play for us and possibly never nets us a return similar to what we’d invest. Herc11
No, that would be a wasted rd 1 pick on a non-starter. That pick needs to be used on a player that is expected to be a day 1 starter/contributer.

The Dolphins are desperate for someone who might become a franchise QB. Ryan Tannehill was the only 1st round pick they've used on a QB since Dan Marino.

starrymessenger
Nope. I'm for seeing if Webb can develop into a reliable backup/spot starter. Or use a late round (not early round) pick to develop instead if Webb is not that guy. The only veteran backup I'd be tempted to sign over a prospect is Fitz, who is the best in the business. Of course he's under contract anyway.

Guy was projected a #1 overall pick hands down before he got hurt. You don’t pass on a QB like him. There could be lots of scenarios. This shapes up as one of the craziest offseasons in history. The Pats and chargers and maybe even Pittsburgh all possibly desperately needing a starting quarterback to win now. On top of the teams picking high needing a quarterback. I could see Miami moving back even if they can highjack a monster haul of players/picks. These older quarterbacks coming to the end are going to shake up the offseason if they move around or retire. Laughing Coffin
There's 0 chance he lasts to 22. He'll be taken in the top 10 If Allen regresses or has a down year next year, with the schedule that we have he will already be putting us in a position to draft his replacement in 2021 This year is about improving our current team and surrounding Allen with more talent. Duke is not the answer but he's the type of WR we need pairing up with JB. Get someone that can go up and get these 50/50 balls. The ball to Duke in the endzone was ***** beautiful and we need to get someone who comes down with that 10/10 times Edited January 6, 2020 by Laughing Coffin

If Tua is there they arent trading back, IMO. I tend to agree. If they could stash him behind Fitz for a year, and keep building out their roster with their other two first rounders, two second rounders and their third. The could really overhaul their team with an upgraded OL, some new weapons on defense and a bell cow back. Then in 2021 Tua is walking into a really good situation.
