To be fair, Conner and the Steelers D won that game.

Or to put it another way, all the Chargers miscues lost it.

-9 yd TD return off a Rivers fumble.

-Another Pitt TD off a Rivers INT (though it was a nice drive

-Missed FG

Hodges gave a pick to the Chargers for a TD in the 4th

I don't think any team left on our schedule is an "easy out", and the Steelers D is legit and tough, but if we're shaking in our shoes because the third string QB may replace the 2nd string, we just don't deserve to win.  If we play good Bills football and avoid handing the ball to them, we can beat either one (or both)

Exactly, but some fans are like a bunch of "fainting goats" around here.

I think they’re giving up on him too early. Or perhaps Rudolph really did use a racial slur and Tomlin is pissed? Either way I see an obvious win here and an obvious win against the Jets. That should be enough to get us in the playoffs. Even better if we can beat a team like Baltimore, New England or Dallas. Gotta get Gore and Singletary going though and Allen will have to continue this upward trend, generally speaking.

he isn’t. He provided a spark. Classic Have no tape on the QB, never practiced for said QB Spark. That is it.

Agree

My Steeler Fan friends said this is for the season pending injury.

Was that a miscue, or what does  "season pending injury" mean?

Who names their kid Duck?

No one.  He's named "Devlin".  He's won duck-calling championships hence the nickname "Duck"

means as long as Hodges stays Healthy he is their starter. Said they need to see what they have at QB with him and Rudolph (fully expect Ben to Retire in offseason)

Peggy Olson: What do you want from me?

Herman 'Duck' Phillips: I wanna take you in that bedroom lock the door take your clothes off with my teeth throw you on the bed and give you a go-around like you've never had.

Talking dirty, 60s style right there!

It was clear that this guy was going to blow. I could not understand why anyone liked Rudolph. That said, Tomlin's words are clearly calling out Mason for turning the ball over. Hodges isn't good, but he doesn't seem as likely to turn the ball over. Tomlin wants to win this game 12-7.

did someone laugh at us having to beat a third string Steelers QB to make the playoffs? you must be new here.

Hey, that was vs. Tommy Maddox, wasn't it? He was clearly a 2nd stringer. Mike Mularkey and Drew Bledsoe can stand proud. (They also sat Jerome Bettis, Duce Staley, Hines Ward, etc., but that's beside the point). Losing to a 3rd stringer with a playoff spot on the line would be a whole new thing ...
