Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills Stats: 4 games -- 8 receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown; 1 carry for nine yards Knox cracks the list after trending up each of the past two weeks. He has made some high-difficulty catches, including a body-contorting reception this weekend against the Patriots. He was also part of a Buffalo team that enabled Frank Gore to rush for 109 yards. 2
LeGOATski
Yep. Nice steal in the 3rd. He's outperforming his draft status. Hockenson, Fant, and Knox all look good so far. 7
jrober38
Knox needs to be an every down player. He's a great blocker and a legit pass catching threat. There's no reason for Lee Smith to see the field.

Kelly the Dog
He was out there a decent amount but I truly thought it was a mistake not to try to isolate or target him more in the second half. He's really a weapon with serious skills.

C.Biscuit97
Gotta say. I think picking a TE with no tds since high school was kinda insane. But he’s looking like a player. Salute.
LeGOATski
I'm surprised Hockenson and AJ Brown are not on this list. Both have been beasts so far and their stats back it up.

jwhit34
Coming soon to the list (when he's healthy): Devin Singletary. Ed Oliver could get there too.
YoloinOhio
It’s pretty rare for a TE to be able to contribute as a rookie this early, both as a receiver and a blocker. After listening to his interview this morning with the Nashville radio station it sounds like he is a real student of the game (probably why McBeane loved him) and that only enhances his physical traits. I didn't have a TE with a clear 1st round grade in this draft. I had Hock as a borderline and then I had another 7 graded in the 2nd and 3rd round. I thought it was a very, very good TE class and I didn't think Hock was streets ahead of the other guys. Moreau caught a TD for Oakland this week too. He was my TE8. YoloinOhio
At this point I would make him the 3rd receiving option instead of Zay.
PetermansRedemption
You know he’s good when I saw a difficult catch being made Sunday and I immediate told my wife “that has to be Dawson Knox”. Because no one else on the team is capable of going up and making a contested catch. He absolutely needs to be featured more. As others have said, no reason Lee Smith should see the field. I’d have Tommy Sweeney far ahead of him too. There isn’t a place in the modern game for a TE who has absolutely no receiving ability.
MJS
His confidence has to be very high right now, and sometimes that's all you need to break out. Keep feeding him the ball and I bet he'll keep making big plays.
njbuff
Let's pray Kroft can actually stay healthy so it can keep Lee Smith off the field. Lee Smith was a great relief pitcher but he sucks as a TE.
RyanC883
I think if Barkley is the starter this weekend, we see some 2 TE sets with Knox and Sweeney. Would love that. Great picks. Knox has been amazing. He catches like a WR1, and is hard to tackle. Just now, njbuff said: Let's pray Kroft can actually stay healthy so it can keep Lee Smith off the field. Bangarang
He deserves the praise. Hopefully it means I never have to see Lee Smith run a route for this offense ever again.

njbuff
I am thinking because of Knox's emergence, the Bills should shift into a more smash mouth type offense, which will open up more play action and Knox gets more opportunities.
Direhard Fan
Smith had how many flags in the first half? He should have been pulled. No excuse. Knox played great. a real asset.
TroutDog
That catch he made this week was INSANELY hard. To be able to track the ball while having to turn back the other way (and falling!) was a sight to behold. Love the kid, his tenacity and pass catching ability!
CajunBillsBacker
That’s outstanding scouting to go into the film room to scout a guy who had only 39 receptions for 605 yards and 0 TD’s his whole college career and conclude that he’s worth a day 2 pick.
PolishPrince
What’s really funny to me, is everyone here seemed to love our draft overall “except for the third round” many people though our third round picks were stupid. yet here we are talking about Knox and also really missing Singletary

K-9
Knox should have been a focal point of our offense on Sunday. I was surprised when he wasn’t. Granted, Josh didn’t look his way on at least one occasion when Knox was wide open, but still. If we are gonna see a steady diet of these 0 blitzes, then Daboll needs to get him more involved along with the RBs.
CEN-CAL17
Knox needs to be getting 5-6 targets a game. Some quick hitters. He’s athletic and tough, can get yards after catch....
