mjd1001
No interest in Gordon here either.   At the RB position, I didn't get too excited over McCoy when he came here and I wouldn't get too excited over just about any other back. Give me a group of specialists....have a competition of young guys.....I don't want/need the big name back. Plus, if the Bills ever went for the 'high priced/elite' back..it would probably just mean they are committing to running more anyway, which I don't really want to watch. dbfla10
If Zeke is getting 90mil gordons probably asking for at least 75mil. So there's no way. Keep drafting young RBs.

berg1029
There is probably one (crazy) scenario in which I would consider this:  The Bills look like contenders, Frank Gore is injured, Devin Singletary doesn't look the part, and the Bills (aside from the running back situation) are looking like contenders. Even then, I don't you should be giving up much in order to get him on the roster

The Bills' stable of running backs is pretty good now anyways. I mean it should be but we are betting on a rookie; a 36 year old (Gore is a freak but this defies most logic), and a pretty average guy in Yeldon.  Odds are we are fine but there could be room for improvement.  But it I don’t think Gordon is anything special and isn’t close to what he wants.  I don’t even think I’d pay him what the chargers offered.

dma0034
I really don't think he's all the good to be honest. I draft him in Fantasy every year and he puts numbers but his backup (Ekeler) puts up better numbers. Only 2 RBs in the league worth trading for are Barkley and Elliott imo

Royale with Cheese
We cut Shady because of his salary in a basically part time role.....because Singletary has really impressed. Now we would pay Gordon that contract and have Singletary basically sit? You're on these boards a lot OP....you should know this.

We can revisit this thread after week one if the current RB's can't get it done.  Gore is a pounder. Singletary is elusive but slow at 4.66 as he is only .4 tenths faster then Ed Oliver at DT. Yeldon, will he fumble?  Can't complain about the O line this year, it's either the offensive play calls, the RB's or everything works.

starrymessenger
Doubt I'd pay him what he'd want (though idk what he's asking)  but IMO it is really just a question of comp not quality. He's really a very good RB in his prime who could seriously upgrade our backfield and offence. Gore's not carrying a team anymore and Singletary remains unproven. If the price was right or could be made right I'd sign him and cut Yeldon.

Agreed. Gordon doesn't deserve Zeke money (and neither does Zeke for that matter) but he's worth a lot more than the 5 bucks the Chargers would be paying him this year. He can pretty much do it all, runs well inside and out and is a receiving threat out of the backfield. I think he has the same yards from scrimmage as Zeke beginning 2015. Depending on the balance of terms I might have thought 10 per to be a very reasonable number. Hope he gets moved quickly. Best for all concerned.
