Allen is a budding superstar

Recommended Posts

This isn't a told you so thread, I wanted us to draft Allen but I did not expect this. 3 TDs, but should have been 4 but Benjamin dropped that EZ TD. McCloud also dropped that huge bomb. The guy is even better than I thought, I'm glad they were so fearless in the way they used him, I was yelling at my TV telling him to get down every time he ran the ball, the Superman TD run where he hit the pylon was something Cam Newton would do. This is Allen's team, Shady is no longer our best player, Josh Allen is the franchise.

Can't wait to see the progression through this year. He straight balled today. I pray he can stay healthy with his style of play.

Next year give this kid a couple studs at the WR position and a better O-line and look out baby.

Was thinking Cam Newton too. Seems like too easy of a comparison with the whole Carolina connection but he seriously looks like "good" Cam Newton out there, which I'll gladly take at this point. He completely dominated the first half, it was insane.

I thought Foster dropped the 50yard dime throw?

That was Foster dropping the bomb...

But I am very encouraged...Allen doesn't look panicked, doesn't seem overwhelmed, he has improved each week and realistically each half...

Still does some dumb things like that Statue of Liberty move where he fumbled but overall he was very good for us in this game...excited to see how he progresses the rest of the year...

You think Nate Peterman still has a shot?

Love that second one. As to your question, his athletic ability is remarkable, now he needs to keep learning how to be an NFL QB.

And a few good receivers would really help.

even his catches were cringy, even he looked unsure he caught it

He looks lost. Allen's stats would be far prettier if KB could remember that he's a football player. He looks like he just doesn't want to play.

Watched the game with a group of Eagles, Panthers, and Giants fans at a friends house.  (3 TVs going at once with 3 different games).

The crowd didn't know Josh Allen well before the game, but they all knew his name after the game.

General consensus was he reminded them of a blend of Cam Newton and John Elway during today's game.

GoBills!  Go Josh Allen!

Would have liked to see Allen get all the 1st team reps during camp and preseason.

He seems to learn quickly, if he was able to get the feel for the NFL game out of the gate in the first preseason game against the first teamers, the team probably would have put up a better fight the first two games.

And kudos to McDermott for putting the teeth back into the defense.

The Viking dropped a safety into the box the first half, and then moved both safeties back in the 2nd.

That was awesome to see.  The Bill's were on cruise control, but Allen looks to have tha ability to make teams move guys out of the box.  This will benefit Shady, who's faced 8 man boxes his entire Bills career.
