So often in the 2nd half, the team that has a decent lead starts getting hit with judgement penalties that were not called in the 1st half, and inevitably the gap closes a bit. It's prob subconscious by the refs, I don't know but it happens alot. And right before the Mahomes fumble, KC was hit with a call and changed the play call that resulted in a fumble.
