But, don't recall a snap. Good for him to get game action and good for him to sign with the Argo's. I wish him well. He has had a sweet gig in Buffalo being JA17's buddy instead of a 9-5 job. There’s a baseball tradition of giving long-time loyal minor leaguers the proverbial September “cup of coffee” - a couple pitching appearances or a few position starts. Example: this long time 31 year old minor leaguer and Niagara grad for the Rockies. Maybe that would’ve happened for Gentry if we’d had a game that didn’t count for anything in the standings this year. Unfortunately for Gentry, this was not that year. I think the Bills got cute with his roster status. He didn’t “need a chance” I believe he was totally mismanaged, the Bills just thought they could hide him. FJ flashed. Gentry hasn’t. Fred made an NFL roster in 2006 after graduating in 2003. Gentry graduated in 2017. It’s been 6 years now. Jackson made the Bills at 25. Gentry will be 29 before season end this year. I am pretty confident he is a favor to Josh Allen and that’s why he has stuck around for a few seasons.
