How is he still here? Did he get a new contract? It expires next month. I believe they would have gotta a new deal done by now if that were the plan. Seems they don’t want to “fire” him so they are letting it expire before hiring a new one. Just my thoughts.

don’t get our hopes up!!

I hope these dots really do connect and we sign OBJ. It's a no brainer move. Push Davis back down the depth chart to the role he belongs in. Give us better run after catch ability, nothing crazy but better than what we have. Then draft a WR on day one or two to keep the pipeline going. I really hope this happens. It will tell me Beane recognizes his mistakes.

i want OBJ.

I fear we get OBJ, and watch Bean go safety, DT, Edge.

@HappyDays Parris Campbell stands out, in terms of both separation (top 5!) and contract value, as an UFA... Spotrac calculates an AAV of $2.5 million, and he's only 25... I mean, we can get that done; I give him 3 yrs, 7 million, 5 guaranteed... Git 'er done, Beane.

Caught 70% if his passes, only had a 5.5% drop rate. This is how you upgrade the slot #GetErDoneBeane

If you have an absurdly good WR team, then you don't need a top 10 OL cause everyone is getting open FAST.

Just like it was when we had Brown and Beasley at the end of their prime.  I would think we would get one lineman in the first 3 rounds but not 2. We still need to come close to a slam dunk in this first 3 rounds of this draft... and as long as they are "that damn good" i can care less who they are.

Just make sure one is a OL.

The Chiefs cap situation is a bit different than ours. With 3 restructures they can have $60M. We'd have to kick the can down the road on pretty much everyone to have $35M-$40M. They have less holes to plug than we do and are coming off of winning the SB. I think OBJ chases the money, Jerry pays him the money to come to Dallas, and Beane will not cough up those kinds of resources to bring him here.

Perhaps .. or we just let Edmunds walk and give Allen a weapon or protection with that money.

Or trade Oliver for a box of donuts and there’s your 11M.

We have non-kick the can down the road moves that can be made.  We don’t have to be held hostage by obsessive defensive investment with a defensive hc in an offensive driven league.

What's odd is you have an opinion about someone's child in any capacity. Not appropriate.

Stifle it, Edith. I said nothing about any child. Have an adult read what I wrote to you.

Jarvis Landry in the slot has me intrigued but he has fallen off with some bad qbs in new orleans

Brandon Beane special. He’s definitely trying to sign OBJ and Landry. 2 guys he’s been trying to get. Just like other players, Beane keeps trying to bring them in.

If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again!

You're literally talking about someone's kid, what's wrong with you? She absolutely could be reading this board, depending on how old she is, or one of her classmates, or a parent of a classmate. Again, why on earth do you think it's OK to talk about someone's kid?

Also, the irony of you calling me Edith, when you're acting like a real life Archie Bunker.

He is especially close with OBJ. OBJ invited him to the Super Bowl last year. They have more than just a professional relationship.

That's nice.  Coupla bros hanging at the SB.   With a guy like OBJ, where he to come to Buffalo, it would be better if his coach wasn't a buddy. OBJ needs adult supervision.

Why did Chad Hall leave/ not get resigned?

That’s the question we’d all like to know the answer to…

His contract was up this offseason. Did the Bills decide to move in a different direction? Did Hall decide to leave for a new opportunity? did he maybe want to be closer to his wife’s family down south? Or did something happen? We’d all love to know! lol

O ok thanks for the reply do you think this new WR coach is better?  And do you think the hire has anything to do with OBJ?

This new guy is definitely more experienced. Is he better? 🤷‍♂️ I hope so!

He has been good WR adjacent at the least, but how is he connected to Carolina?

Also as much as people seem to not like/be sick of the idea of OBJ here, he'd probably be very good here and if coming back from the injury somehow makes him more affordable this would be a great direction to go short term.

Maybe but keep in mind, as we saw from Tre, OBJ may not be athletically the same guy for a while, even after he is cleared

It's not her fault that her parents are idiots.  I actually feel bad for her.

Obviously it will take time for OBJ to adjust but Tre was a different situation returning mid season. He had to also get into football shape.

Doesn’t matter who we sign we still to start drafting young talent at the WR position to be prepared for Davis walking and also Diggs decline in the next few years.

Seems like he’s had a lot of success.

im excited about this hire! I’ll be interested to see how long he sticks around though. It doesn’t seem like he’s stayed anywhere too long. But maybe he finds a home here!

Thanks for the link and an easy to follow time line. He does move around! I admit that makes me curious.

Everybody knows we need help on the OL and at WR.  Most of us think in terms of adding talent in free agency and the draft.  The Bills have added coaching talent with a new WR coach and a new Asst OL coach. I’ll be thrilled with any combination that leads to improved results.

We need young playmakers. OBJ would need to be a 3rd on this offense. He’s old & injured. I hope we aren’t hiring coaches based on OBJ.

He would be 3rd option at best in this offense unless I’m missing something.

Any WRs we draft should be considered for the future not right now. You can’t rely on rookie WRs unless you get top of the draft guys. This is a weak WR draft also. Don’t expect instant impact WR from this draft.

He seems to be well respected. He moves around a lot. I don't know what is behind that. No idea about OBJ, but it certainly doesn't hurt if that is the way OBD wants to go.

I mean... He isn't going to be a #1 option for anyone at this point.
