The funny thing is that they presumably did this because they actually felt the ping pong table represented a distraction.

As in, professionals being paid millions were distracted from their work by a ping pong table in the locker room.

And then you wonder why terms like "coachable" exist in sports talk.

These are guys are mostly, shockingly, stupid.

Mcdermott did the same thing when he came here.  He took out all the video games and such because he viewed it as a distraction

Video games are engaging and absorbing.  Ping-Pong is more casual and does afford interaction.  Yes, both can be distracting, but one far more then the other.

Also...are the 'Phins seriously trying to scapegoat a ping-pong table?

Ridding a distraction from the locker room.  Mcdermott did it.  Tyreek did it.  What’s the big deal?

I don’t think they’re scapegoating….they’re just removing something  by they see as distracting.  Is this really a big deal?

Yeah in March. Their is week 6 and they get blown out by the Jets and have to reevaluate how they game plan and eliminate distractions? It’s screams rudderless ship. The issue isn’t ping pong. The issue is leadership. Who is holding these guys accountable?

McNerd?

Tua?

Tyreek “avoiding taxes is my priority” Hill?

No it’s definitely that pesky ping pong table

It’s unreal how some minds work.

the players thought it may be a distraction….  They removed it.  Wth is the big deal?  People just looking for something to bash on.  It’s a non story imo.

Any Non-Tua  Dolphin talk, regardless of how trivial is a good thing for the Dolphins esp McDanials.

Nothing says great team like taking all the fun out of the locker room.

They will be very disappointed to learn that the league has a few changes in the name of safety. In addition to no longer being allowed to tackle a QB unless you gently settle him into a down mattress, the OT rules have been changed for the playoffs. If, after one OT session you are still tied, the winner will be determined by a ping pong playoff between team captains. That C on the jersey just became more important.
