Interesting dilemma to have, it appears. Bills lucked into a pretty good season to have to find a punter at this late stage. KDIGGZ
2 hours ago, Virgil said: Dumb question. Why do we care if the punter is a lefty? Comes off the foot different which hypothetically would make it tougher for return teams to both catch or block if they are always practicing against a righty. Just like in baseball it's just a different look when you are going up against a lefty as it is more rare to see

Go for whoever wants a better deal in terms of cap space between Kern and Martin. Going off the tweet, think it will be the former. Reckon that means the Broncos are in the Punter market as well, as I'm not sure if they'll want to go into the season with Corliss Waitman. HappyDays
Between Kern and Martin I'll take the cheaper of the two, so probably Kern. Either way we get an upgrade on Haack and we'll be one of the least frequent punting teams in the NFL. All we end up losing from this whole fiasco is a 6th round pick. 1
wppete
Brett Kern makes all the sense here. Hopefully at a nice discount price. Time to move on from all this punter talk.

I'm skeptical that Kern has the leg power this staff prefers. He's a precision guy. We won't be punting from opponent territory often. We need a punter that can flip field position. Not sure Kern is that guy.

Albany,n.y.
Martin is the guy who hurt his ankle before the Bills game & couldn't play. I don't know how well he is. Might still be hurt but not bad enough for Denver to have to keep, but we might not want a P with a bad ankle. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/broncos_punter_sam_martin_suffers_ankle_injury_during_pregame_warm_ups/s1_127_37793727
zow2
Where’s the announcement about signing Kern? it should have been 10 minutes ago. His strength is directional punting and pinning teams inside the 10. That’s what the Bills need. Let’s face it, in Orchard Park there’s usually wind from Southwest to Northeast. Every NFL punter can boom it far with the wind and struggles against the wind. We really need a professional who can place the ball where the special teams needs it to be placed. Which Kern can do. Announce it Beane.
