I'm still in the line of thought that Watson will be out this entire year as well, with his overall future in doubt NFL wise. Bleeding Bills Blue Posted March 9, 2022 Share Posted March 9, 2022 I'm one to believe in rehabilitiation, and generally becoming a better person etc. But this guy has done nothing but deny he did the things that he very likely did. I know he basically has to until everything is settled, but you can't just hide behind a statement and hope it all goes away. If and when this is all settled he definitely needs to make it known and obvious that - whatever happened happened, and I'm going to be a better human going forward because of it. I think the fact that the attorney bringing the civil claims rejected an attempt to delay the civil deposition until Monday suggests that he is worried how well the complainants will stand up to the Grand Jury scrutiny. That is somewhat supposition, and he may well have other reasons, but I would speculate he thinks his one chance to get Watson into a deposition is this week. Makes sense. If your "top 10" (debatable) QB doesn't want to stay, has a ring and made plenty of $ probably wise to seek a trade for him and the Seahawks got good value. The Seahawks or any team is only going to seal a deal IF and when he is cleared of criminal charges. Seahawks have never been afraid to take and or standby image risky players. You are what your record says you are, especially for a QB in a QB driven league. The Texans won exactly as many games with Davis Mills/Tyrod Taylor as they did the year before with Deshaun Watson with JJ Watt. Simple undeniable facts.
