I hope this doesn't come into play, but if we lose to the Pats it's not enough to say, "Well, the Ravens are on the ropes".

The Chiefs, Pats, Colts, Chargers and Titans are virtual locks to get into the postseason. One of the Ravens, Browns, or Bengals will win the AFC North. Of the remaining two, the Bills will most likely need both to get to 8 losses if we finish 10-7 and want to get in as a WC.

Our odds are basically a flip of a coin if we don't win out

I will let you lament with your vision of the playoff picture.

I would however recommend that you read the tie-breaker rules for multiple teams tied for a wildcard spot.

I know the rules for the tiebreaker buddy. Care for me to explain them to you?

I mean, let's just beat the Pats.

If we get swept by the Patriots, not only do we not really deserve to make the playoffs - but we're simply not a SB caliber team.

We have ONE tough game remaining.  Gotta take it.

If the Bills go 3-1 to close the regular season and get in the playoffs, then they get exactly what they deserve. The same is true if they don’t get in.

Especially if they keep going for two.

Whatever.  Just get in and anything can happen in this conference this year.

I agree. Do we know if we want Bengals or Ravens to win that game ? Maybe it doesn’t matter idk. It seemed that it would be more advantageous for the Ravens to lose to LAR, just not sure about The division game.

I believe someone mentioned this earlier, but now that the Bengals won today we should root for them against Baltimore next week.

With a victory, Cincy would be 4-1 in the division and 7-3 in the AFC which would put them in a strong position to win the division (and completes a season sweep of the Ravens). They are the last team of the 3 AFC North foes we want to be competing against for the WC.

As of now it doesn't matter much.  What matters is 2 teams with the same record (currently) as the Bills and someone will lose (except tie).

I'd fire John Harbaugh.

You have the best kicker in the whole league.  The man kicks field goals from the moon.

That's a second game Harbaugh has lost out of some misplaced sense of confidence or ego.

Perhaps the xp he missed on the previous TD played into the decision

Both games are 7pm est

Thanks, I was thinking maybe it was a time zone thing from the screenshot that was posted, but apparently it was just inaccurate all together. I’m not sure why the Rams game isn’t a 10pm eastern time slot. It’d seem more convenient for LA fans at 7pm on a weeknight.

Agree, alot can happen down the stretch..let me lay it out:

IF, and hopefully not, but if we lose to NE and finish 10-7, we can only get 7th seed if we get the following

1. steelers a 7th loss: very likely to happen next week

2. Get 2 of 3 teams (Browns, Bengals, Ravens) to 8 losses

Remaining schedules:

Browns: Raiders, Pack, Steelers, and Bengals

Bengals: Ravens, Chiefs, and Browns

Ravens: Bengals, Rams, and Steelers

This is why Pack win over Ravens today was very big, as of now.

We will become BIG fans of:

1. Chiefs, hard to day this but true

2. Rams and Pack, respective weeks

3. Very likely Steelers, to play spoiler role

4. Of course Raiders, tomorrow night

A Raiders win tomorrow night would be a game changer, really boosting our chances.  At which point, I'd think Ravens beating Bengals next week would be our rooting interest (hoping Chiefs win 2 straight, over Pitt and Bengals, and Pack then over Browns) and put us in the driver seat rest of way for a WC.

All that to say, just beat NE and win the dang division.  We don't want to go in as a 7th and face a major uphill battle in the playoffs.

Hard to believe we were down 24-3 to these guys in the blink of an eye.

i have a theory about this. Seems like every time the Bills play a really good offensive team, McD and company do a nice job of developing a defensive blueprint. Sometimes it works— but even when it doesn’t entirely, it is always replicated by other teams the following weeks.

For example, i feel like this happened when we developed the blueprint on how to slow Lamar Jackson a few years ago.  You sort of wonder if NO May be doing some of the same stuff we did in the second half last week?

Uh no, the saints have always played the bucs good, before Brady got there and with Brady their, this is a divisional opponent, they didn't need any McDermott blue print. They already beat Tampa once earlier
