OMG I think they just reported that his 4 little daughters may have been with him in the helicopter, including a newborn.

They reported it on espn. Did I hear it right? I pray I didn’t.

That’s the latest. All the kids but not his wife. Can’t imagine how she’s going to be feeling. Terrible.

I heard the same thing. Booger said during pro bowl prayers to his wife and kids but he might not have info.

God I hope they weren’t on board

Cbs sad that wasn’t the case...conflicting info here...it was said 5 killed.

That’s my hope. They said 5. I assume 1 is the pilot. Hoping he just misspoke.

Edit - not that I’m wishing for the pilot’s death or anyone else’s.

Awful news! So was his daughters with him? Seeing some reports saying yes and some no. I certainly hope not, but wow! This really took me by surprise today. Sports world won't be the same for a long time.

The ABC reporter mis-spoke

Way to go CNN for breaking the news and immediately mentioning his sexual misconduct.

And ABC reports 4 dead kids so they can 'break' the story.

And people wonder why so many in this country have completely tuned out the major media outlets.

While big sports news, id be surprised if it goes that far

I think it’s bigger than just “sports news.” He was a very well known personality outside of the world of sports and this is sudden and tragic. Not Pearl Harbor, but not nothing.

Yup. Journalism 2020 is all about getting it first, not right.

True...

its all all about being first to report...not first for full story.

on breaking news stories like this you have a lot of inaccurate info come out.

Hes is a well known celebrity

hes been on national advertizing

many who don’t follow nba likely recognize him from the ads.

on top of that it’s a sudden died too soon story.

Not that it really matters, but I wonder if this will spread to the pro bowl players as the game goes on

It has, and Drew Brees just spoke of it.

Terrible sad. I didn’t realize he regularly used his own Sikorsky helicopter to commute from Newport Beach to the Staples Center. In that traffic, I get it. If you’re worth hundreds of millions, you can do stuff like that. Life itself is a risk. Take nothing for granted.

RIP, prayers to his family.
