HappyDays
I don't know, he is starting to look like a decent #2 WR and we can probably re-sign him to a reasonable contract. He is still slow and makes dumb unforced errors but he's actually catching the ball now and his length means he is always open. I wouldn't cast him away just yet. It's hilarious how some people are lined up hoping to pat McBeane on the back for trading KB for a 7th rounder...........when McBeane traded FOR him in the first place. I was rightfully critical of KB before it was in vogue (critical of him not knowing the play calls and having to have Tyrod line him up and then the drop in the end zone in Jax). But he's not an utterly useless POS that he's portrayed here as........if the Bills had some actual talent at other receiver positions they would be able to use him more like a matchup TE and he'd be a much better player. But as it is.........he's still their best chance to make plays in the passing game and they need all of that they can get when(if) Allen gets back. We still need a legitimate #1 WR here and this draft has a solid receiving class. Benjamin could make a decent #2 if he plays like he has the past 2 weeks. His catch radius is more valuable in a league where defenders can't play the receiver. Just throw it a little high and he can stand there and grab it without any defenders having a chance on the ball.

He's just a lazy WR, who gets no separation, who doesn't know the playbook, and takes plays off like he's Terrell Owens. But nah, not a useless POS. Just a close to useless POS. An interesting hill. It is......but still some of you turds just don't know when to seek higher ground. The tide has been coming in for some time. NFL players don't give max effort in hopeless situations any longer............and smart teams know not to judge them based on metered effort in such situations. The Bills offense is incredibly under-stocked.........that leads to guys like KB and McCoy being asked to try to do more than they are capable of. KB ain't having it..........he's got another payday or two in front of him.............McCoy's big contracts are all in the past but when he does try to do too much he pays the price and ends up injured. The moral of the story is don't let your team get so bad on offense that you can't properly use or even evaluate what you have. And the folly of letting your team become so imbalanced toward defense is that a defense is even HARDER to keep playing hard. It has become MUCH, MUCH harder to play and sustain defense in recent years. You can no longer limit offenses thru violence......those hits are legislated out........and the whole process of getting a ball carrier to the ground has become much more exhausting. That is why you've seen a Bills defense look great one week and like one of the worst defenses in history the next two. Tons of business decisions by other "not useless POS's" who are just plain fatigued and uninspired due to the ineptitude on offense. This is the reality of the new NFL.........a HC has to AVOID peaks and valleys more than he has to negotiate them......... but McD still thinks he can expect everyone to go balls out every play/every week. Not ***** sustainable.
