It’s not sudden death unless the first team scores a TD.

When you’re facing a bad offense, ALWAYS kick off in OT.

Always, always, always.

If you’re facing a great offense, then you receive.

Why risk it? As we saw with NE, all it takes is one BS play.

League wants to keep the Rodgers story alive.

All he has to do is show up and throw passes before the game.  That's enough to keep it alive.

And wow, that was an awful DPI.  Not a bad call, just.... Williams vs Welker PI type of play.

Ouch at Devito's numbers.  You would figure that any NFL QB could at least get a couple of screens or check downs for positive yards if they play in a half, but maybe not.

Well, DeVito probably shouldn’t be an NFL QB. He was ok at Illinois, but hot garbage at Syracuse. Whatever happened to the punter being emergency QB? The punter or anyone on the roster could have done the same as DeVito. A strange waste of roster space for a guy they won’t let throw downfield.

That is textbook PI and now the Jets are gonna win. Way to go, Daboll.

Wouldn’t surprise me if something whacky happens on the FG try… Block. Bad snap. Bad hold. It’s par for the course with this game so far.

And that right there is why you ALWAYS kick-off in OT when you’re facing a bad offense.

If you receive, and then you have to punt, all it takes is 1 penalty for the opponents bad offense to be in field goal range.

Whereas if you kick-off, you make the bad offense drive 75 yards to win. More likely than not, the bad offense will make a mistake at least once in that drive and you get the ball punted to you, only needing a FG to win.

McDermott and Daboll make the same mistake.

I was surprised too, you don't get benched on an under .500 lower tier big five football team for a QB who was essentially a running back with an arm at the time and miraculously become an NFL qb two years later.
