MrEpsYtown
We did this same exact thing at the trade deadline when they got Chubb. It makes them better. They still are not better than us because at the end of the day they have Tua and we have Josh. Certainly makes them better.  Side note, if they cut Xavien Howard I would ask him to come play safety.

Fangio is a good coach, but he isn’t Vince Lombardi. Chubb cant get sacks and had one ok year in Fangio’s system. Wilkins is a great a player, and those guys on offense. Outside of that, I am not worried.  Miami had 4 draft picks this year. Now they have 3. I think they are doing this whole thing wrong.
MasterStrategist
Miami will be looking to deploy the exact same "cover 0"/aggressive defense against us this yr. While Jets will be continuing their 4-man rush/strong zone defense.  Against both of these, we need: 1. Better OL that can hold up 1-1 blocks. 2. WRs (other than Diggs) that can win against 1-1 coverage /bring more speed to the table (Howard is slowing down).  Hoping Beane has a good plan to upgrade these two areas. After that in priority list, find best LB/SS/RB replacements. And look to get more physical/bigger at DT. frostbitmic
That should be enough to entice Brady to come out of retirement, again. Â Leprechauns, parades and drinking til you puke will be overshadowed by Brady signing in Miami on the 17th. The Dolphins have too much invested in this year to hand the keys to the Ferrari back to a frequently concussed QB.

Fangio alone is going to significantly help that defense. Their Defense coordinator last year, Boyer, was an absolute disaster according to Fin fans. And Fangio is great. if we knew that Frazier was leaving, I do not understand why we did not go after Fangio. HappyDays
The Dolphins are trying to go all in on a championship before knowing if they have a franchise QB. It's like when we traded up for Sammy Watkins or traded for LeSean McCoy. Fun splash moves but they lead to the same result. Â I don't really care about this move one way or the other as it relates to the Bills. If we fail to win the division this year it won't be because Miami traded for Jalen Ramsey. It will be because our front office and/or coaching staff failed.

Perhaps McDermott wants/wanted to have more control, and hence Frazier leaving...and not bringing in another DC.  Just a guess...but either way here we are. I'd say we will be pleasantly surprised with Coach leading this defense, as opposed to Leslie. It's very likely will be making some changes....  Miami is w/o a 1st and 3rd rounder now. And more limited in future cap.  Beane has to hit on the draft and FA plan. OL and WR, same thing everyone is saying, is critical. More speed in the secondary/aggressive up front. Strongly disagree about Tua. He is capable of beating us, but isn't leading that team thru a loaded Afc.  Dolphins are obviously building a "Rams-esque" approach to draft capital. I'd say they have just as many, if not more, blue chip talent than us as of now.  But QB outweighs alot. Tua hasn't played a full NFL season, coming off major head injury and never showcased the talent of Mahomes/Burrow/Josh. He's a clear notch below, and that won't get it done in the Afc with the gauntlet of Qbs.
