I'm not happy with Dorsey but I can understand why he did what he did.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, took a step forward this season on offense. Crowder went down early, McKenzie blew his opportunity.  Gabe Davis didn't show enough to be the #2 the org wanted him to be. Diggs was fantastic, but he can only do so much when the defense is just focused on shutting him down.  The O-Line was horrifying, I don't think I've seen worse guard play this season. The RBs were getting touched at the handoff. Spencer Brown gets beat easily for being a big athletic guy.

It was just rough. Allen hides so many of the warts, he's one of the top 3 most dynamic players in the league.  We need to invest in him and around him, because without Allen this team would be dead in the water.

Some serious re-evaluation of consistently neglecting key positions on offense is required.  What I fear more than anything is that Josh Allen's legacy is going to end up being similar to what Domink Hasek was for the Sabres.  An all-world, once in a generation type player they failed to build around that had his career more or less wasted here by a management team that just couldn't get the job done.  A common theme, neglect of the offense.  Fix the line, improve the pass and run blocking, get a true no. 2 receiver.  No and's, if's, or but's.  Get it done.

As for what happened this season, Lee didn’t blame coaching.  He said he watched the game and knew in real time what was happening in the Cincinnati  - the team was exhausted.  They played like they had no gas in the tank.  He believes it was a result from a crazy season and some bad breaks.  He really believes they’ll get back on track next season

I mean they played by far their worst game of the year. Maybe they just forgot to get up for the playoffs but I think that is unlikely. Milano and Edmunds apart the team played with zero energy

May not be the proper forum. But since we are talking coaches. With all the Bills success on both sides of the ball the past several years now do you find it odd we dont lose more coaches? Daboll is the only that has left for a head coach. We have lost very few assistants that receive bump in titles elsewhere. Could it be the NFL does not think highly of the Bills staff and system?

Highly probable. Especially defensive coaches. Who in their right mind would hire Frazier

Lee and many others are missing the point of the critiques of our coordinators, it’s not totally about the regular season , although there is some there, it’s the lack of capacity by our coordinators, both Frazier and Dorsey, but mostly Frazier, to adjust their schemes to fit the the game flow, or as is said, they don’t make in game adjustments, in a fashion that achieves anything that helps the team post season, again, post season,

Frazier has openly admitted he is loath to make any changes in his game plan during games, to include the post season, when it’s all on the line, his defensive scheme, although functional in the regular season, has failed for three consecutive post seasons, in a notably fashion, that is why many fans are a bit miffed at the coaches. So Lee, get your head out of your backside, and comment on what we are talking about, that might be useful…,

GO BILLS!!!

Good point. While Dorsey got some interest this year, the fact that Frazier rarely gets a sniff for a HC gig despite having a top 2 defense statistically the past 4 years (aside from 2020) is telling. Either the other teams don't think it's his D (likely), or he doesn't pass the eye test (also likely).

For a first year OC he really wasn't terrible, giving the guy another year to improve isn't that ridiculous.

The fact is in a year that we were supposed to be super bowl champs, maybe we shouldn't have had a "first year OC" . Maybe this shouldn't have been his "learning year".

Lee knows the exact same amount about this year's team and this year's offense as the fans do. He doesn't elevate himself to a higher level by criticizing the fans. Diggs knows about this year's offense and Diggs wasn't happy with it after week 9. Like the majority of fans

How did you count that many fans on your fingers and toes?

Reminds me of claims by "Moral" Majority.

Dude carved out a hell of a career as a blocking 3rd TE.

Right.

In wrestling a "job" is a losing wrestling match.

A jobber.......or jabroni.......is a guy who carves out a career as a fringe roster wrestler with a very specific, inglorious role.

Lee Smith = textbook Jabroni

Why should the Bills be carving out two years of Josh Allen’s career to give on the job training to an OC?  The only correct answer to the question: Why is Ken Dorsey the Bills OC? Is “Of the available options he gives the Bills the best chance to win a championship”

No other reason to keep him.

Maybe hope is a strategy... as long as hope leads to:

Better and more consistent pass protection and run blocking from our O-line.

More play-action worked into the play designs because Allen is much better off of play action.

A run game that looks like part of the game plan rather than an afterthought. One that can bleed the clock, spell our D, and protect a lead late in games.

Josh making quicker decisions with the ball and hitting more high-percentage throws to his hot reads and outlet options in the flat when deeper throws are covered.

Less turnovers and the big guy taking less hits.

Some consistency out of the slot position and a WR on the boundary that can take some of the pressure off Diggs.

Saying "Dorsey sucks" from my couch seems a bit oversimplified, but an OC ultimately owns those challenges next year.

I hope Dorsey does blow the doors off it next year. I don't want to see our coaches fail, quite the opposite.

Except he had entire year where he had no penalties.  Some Bills fans said he was but referees didn't.

Except the year before that he had 9 which on a per play basis for a little used blocking tight end is ridiculous. He also played 171 snaps in his unpenalized year, the second fewest of his career. The year before when he had 9 accepted penalties he played 319 snaps. He had 40 accepted penalties for his career including 16 holdings and 21 false starts but keep pushing that it's a false narrative. He had one clean year, right after a horrible year.

Lee Smith's career stats look like the game log of a mediocre TE, guys outproduce his 11 yr career in an annual basis.

He's not even the best Lee Smith,  google him and you get a baseball player.

Dude is the last person to tell someone to stay on a couch. What an ego for a garbage player... then goes on to admit Dorsey needs to work on fixing the offense 🤣 .. what a clown.

Yep. Pretty sure Lee was on the couch like the rest of us.
