stevestojan
We had to put our 15 year old dog to sleep 3 weeks ago. One of the saddest days of my life, but she lived a good long life and didn’t suffer at the end. my wife and I are looking for another rescue (spent the day at the SPCA narrowing it down). The one we will likely get tomorrow has a pound name (ie the shelter picked a name) so we can choose a name. I’d like to do something Bills/Sabres/Buffalo related that isn’t too much (like naming it “wtf Dorsey” or something too obviously bills related). other challenge is the one I think we’ll adopt is a female. ok friends, let me hear your ideas! Thanks!

Even better than my belligerent drunken rant about how stupid the Bills would be to trade for that chickenshlt Bledsoe and that they ought to be going after that Brady kid instead? It was an unheralded masterpiece of brilliant analysis coupled with unhinged jackassery. Sorry about your doggo 💕 🐕 💕 Take Joshalyn and tell the Boss you came up with it while you're watching the Bengals game
Warcodered
I think I saw somewhere it was a good idea to keep it to one to two syllables so it's easy for the dog to remember. 1

They also say hard consonants are easier for them as well. I think dogs are smart enough that in the long run it probably doesn't really matter. WE always picked dogs names that were easy for my toddlers to say. First puppy, a boxer named Ali Perfect! I think Pasta Joe has a great list Because if that dog is spicy you go for frankie! the personality does help decide the names too

Augie
I’d go with (Carlton) Bailey. The four of us voted three dogs ago and her name was Bailey. Three votes wasn’t enough. This is when we learned the wife has veto power. A redhead girl named Bailey vomited in my MIL’s car when my wife was a kid. They could not get the smell out, so they traded the car in. Bonus points for the first person to post the Seinfeld episode. . Edited January 4, 2023 by Augie

Let's Go Buffalo
Sorry for the loss of your dog. We had to put ours down when he was 17 years old....one of the saddest things. I'm a little late on this response, so I apologize if you already named your new dog, but I thought of "Buffy"....it was a the name of one of my cousin's dogs growing up, and well for you it would make sense being a Bills fan and all. P.S. I just now looked at some of the other posts, and I think Buffy was already mentioned, (sorry Simon) and whoever else.

JESSEFEFFER
A few years ago we had a stray cat hanging around our back porch. Very friendly and wanted a home and to belong somewhere. I started calling him Barkley after our BB QB2 at the time and current practice squad QB. It was right around the time of the Renegade Matt Barkley performance in Pittsburgh. Barkley is a way cooler name for a dog.
