Metcalf’s late catch put that team up by 0.2 points, but then the Rams interception a play later won it for the other guy. I’ve never seen that before in 20+ years of playing FFB — the last two meaningful plays of a game resulting in two lead changes. And in the playoffs. Nuts. If the RB played the ball better, there would’ve been a lot of contact and the flag should’ve been thrown. Unless it’s egregious, you’re usually not gonna get the call if the ref doesn’t think you gave yourself a chance to catch the ball. I think that’s what happened to Diggs against Tampa, but it was probably egregious enough the call. But Diggs did himself no favors basically giving up on going for the ball.
