Quietly the Dolphins are the 2nd hottest team in the AFC right now

5 straight wins, dominant defense and Tua is finally rounding into form playing the best football of his career so far. Some real young stars on the rise in Phillips and Waddle on both sides of the ball to boot.

Combined with the Patriots that's 11 straight wins and no one is going to want to play this team either if they get into the tourney.

Thankfully for the Bills they have already swept them and have key tiebreakers but this division is looking to be very strong next year even if the Jets don't improve. Assuming the Bills don't end up winning the division this year it's going to be a major missed opportunity in hindsight.

Lot of crappy teams in that 5 game win streak. Then you have the Ravens too in there who are the luckiest team in the league but Ljax really struggling these days. The best thing that can happen is they think Tua is the real deal and keep Watson or a draft stud qb out of the division. Fools gold that Tua.

Have you watched them play? I think every team who got into the playoffs would sign up to play Miami

Yes I have and this is a completely different team heading in the opposite direction since the Bills last played them and in hindsight looks to be a quality win for the Bills because they were terrible for 3 quarters before pulling the game out late.

Miami has the top ranked defense right behind the Patriots since that game and there's a good chance they may run the table until the season finale against the Patriots.

In fact assuming the Bills have any real shot still to win the division and/or #1 seed I'm rooting for the Dolphins because they have the Titans and Patriots on deck to finish the season.

People on here argued with me about this. They’re starting to turn the corner and they are playing strong on both sides of the ball.

They beat a Mike Glennon led Giants team by 11.  Let's not go crazy here.

They are playing better but they have really yet to get a quality win.  They did best Baltimore but it was more of a result of Lamar struggling to handle the blitz

Dolphins fooling people again... when will you learn.

They've won 5 games in a row, what does it say about the Bills who haven't done this all season and likely won't this year based on the remaining schedule

Obviously if there is one team right now from this division that looks SB bound it's the Patriots but it's not unrealistic to say the Bills are 3rd best team in their own division right now based on how all 3 teams have played in the last month respectively.

True but they’ve put together a nice 5 win streak for themselves one of them upsetting the Ravens. Also Carolina had the number 1 defense against the pass and Tua took it apart. I understand where your coming from but you gotta give credit where it’s due

They did that last year also... how did that end?

If it means them not pursuing Watson than Tua is the greatest young Dolphins QB since Dan Marino.

There’s a good chance Watson may never see the field ever again. I’m not comparing Tua to Marino at all, but he’s definitely promising. And I’d say with a top O line, a solid running game and more weapons at WR as well as on defense, they could turn out to be a problem.  We’ll see what happens.

Sometimes the best moves are the ones that never happen and a few years from now folks will think it was crazy to even consider trading for Watson who might not even be in the league anyway.

Tua reminds me a lot of a young Russell Wilson and he's already the best RPO QB in the league.

And he’s the only QB in Miami history to have back to back 80 % completion games.

You're both doing a lot of projecting here.  Wilson was/is much more mobile.  Odds are Watson will settle these lawsuits and be some team's franchise QB for the next decade.  I'm comfortable knowing Tua will never be able to carry a team by himself because of the limitations he has in terms of both arm strength and athleticism.

I remember a day when certain Bills fans opined that we should bring in Jay Cutler because he was better than EJ (not really a debatable point).  At the end of the day, though, and I have no idea how this Bills' season will play out, you see the difference between drafting The Guy and recycling.

Is that all? 😋 I'm sure with a Christmas list like that every team could be a problem.

Wilson has an arm.  Tua doesn’t.

This is why I havent bought into NE.  You are not going to get multiple turnovers every week.  You are going to have turnovers.  Straight up they are not special.  The defense is very good not legendary great to carry the team.  The offense doesnt have an explosive element.  The run game isnt over powering either.  I expect New England has a similar December that Miami had last year.
