I'm Spartacus
I know it's been discussed, and mods delete if you see fit. These defensive interceptions and fumble recoveries with endzone celebrations are getting out of hand! C'mon man...enough already. To me it's the same as delay of game, taunting or unsportsmanlike conduct. Too much look at me stuff. What do ya'll think? 2 1 2 1 10 2 4

You can’t look at your opponent after tackling him, but 10-15 guys can run all the way to the opposite end zone after a turnover. 5
I'm Spartacus
Not sure my age (64) has anything to do with the topic but I'm sick of seeing this crap. US Egg
LB's and DB's now regularly act like it's a great play when making a tackle after a five yard gain on 1st&10 or 2nd&6 type situations. 2

BritBill
I don't mind it. But I do have a chuckle when teams do it when they're down by 17 in the third quarter. 1
wakingfane
I agree.. because it's usually not spontaneous anymore or even emotional really. It's almost mandatory when there's an interception now, to start jogging toward the end zone looking around like, "okay... Are my boys with me? Huh? Huh? We doin this end zone thing? Okay! Yeah, we're doin it, yeah, let's go!" 2

PetermansRedemption
Agree. It’s gotten old and stale at this point. As someone else mentioned, it’s all the same. Run to the end zone and pose for the camera. Also find it odd that with the emphasis on taunting this isn’t considered over the top. 1
LV Bills fan
Yeah this one has been going on for about 5 years now. Time to come up with something new fellas. Maybe like a thick gold chain they can put around the neck of the intercepting player on the sideline?
BuffaloBillyG
Time and a place for everything. If a guy makes a game winning/sealing INT...sure. Run all over. Line up and do all the dances from Cats. Who cares...ya earned it. I've also seen this happens multiple times when a team is down 20 with 8 minutes left. As a fan just makes me think "Wow, sure have a lot of energy left after getting your butt handed to ya." This isn't anything new though. Mark Gastineau made a career of celebrating meaningless sacks with his team down big.
Bookie Man
I'm not against celebrating, but I find it kind of lame. All these dudes running all the way down the field to flex into come camera. Reminds me of when me and my friends were just some 13 year old dorks, flexing in the mirror after gym class or something. 😆

BillsPride12
My only complaint is that this celebration is way more annoying than all of the ones they have banned. Stupid NFL. 1
JohnBonhamRocks
I’m leaning more in the other direction. The NFL is at the end of the day in the business of not just football but entertainment. Let them do backflips and point and glare at whoever so long as they aren’t hurting anyone. Build up rivalries. I do kind of miss waiting for things like a hidden sharpie or other creative, well-thought out celebrations. These guys give their bodies to make crazy plays, so why not let them celebrate to the max? I will say while I hold the above view that I think if the NFL did allow more extreme celebrations it would make those who do act like they’ve been there 100x before look even cooler. But I guess so long as they are diverting their direct gaze from the opponent players, it’s okay?! 🤔 1 2 1

RoyBatty is alive
One the one hand you have to be very very careful not to " taunt" but at the same time half the team can run down to some TV camera or end zone and break out in an over the top celebrations. 2
muppy
lol I don't mind a "Fun Police" thread. That's his opinion and I respect it. A taunt says to the opposing player, "YOU got torched." Taunts tend to provoke punches or shoves, and that's what they're trying to avoid with the taunting calls. These fine distinctions between taunting directed at an opponent and over the top celebrations don’t really accomplish that. In fact, at away games, aren’t these celebrations basically just taunting the crowd— not something that should be modeled to kids. 2

My response to that would be “OK then penalize the punches and shoves more severely”. I’d rather see a guy sit a month for throwing a punch than a game turn because a guy makes a play and gets a penalty after he glares at a sideline. 2
