As expected. Joe Schoen will surely get a GM chance soon. It's a sign of a good organisation that you develop talent, but don't stand in their way as they progress. Shows other talent that Buffalo is a good place to come. Helps the Bills in the long run to let staff develop but let them progress on

Glad he’s gone. He came on board in May 2018. The players that have come on board since then defensively have been bad. Gaine was a big loss. He can now take back his position

I'll be polite and suggest your logic is a tad suspect

There's prolly some real truth to this.

Morgan knows our players well, so he'll have comfort with them.  And conversely, if we dump somebody and the Panthers dont scoop him up within 12 seconds, there's prolly a good reason.

You are just throwing that silly opinion out into the air without any knowledge or insight whatsoever? That's bold.

What more insight do you need than the performance of players that he had hand in bringing to Buffalo?  There has been a drop off after 2018 draft.  In a video they posted on buffalobills website years ago, he was heavily involved defensively.

Is a list of players.

Well done.

It's remarkable how much power the 4th in line in personnel decisions has apparently. Obviously nothing to do with the Head Coach, GM or Assistant GM.

So would you advocate getting rid of McDermott, Beane and Schoen then? All higher in the decision making process

If they keep missing on picks and signings, that will take care of itself.  However, the nucleus built prior to May of 2018 is hedging on elite.  For now, that is hiding the recent misses

It is very bold to stick head in stockades knowing to be hit by rotten fruit.

I am sad to see him gone.

Dan Morgan was director of player personnel. You included two drafted players which are really more of the college scouting area. Regardless of whether you think these players are “bad” - his area is primarily responsible for evaluating talent in trading for players and signing FAs. And evaluating the value of the team’s current players. And not just on the defensive side.

The reason could be scheme fit as well

Good luck to him.

The Bills FO setup is one of the better set up ones around the NFL - the Pegulas have spent well on those guys.

As Gaine returned - we already have a replacement to go.

Tbh, I would like Gaine to be given the role, as he most definitely got a very short straw in Houston, and it will do his profile no harm at all with our projected continuous success.

You never want to lose good people, but the Bills FO has plenty of qualified replacements already in place.

The interesting thing will be how they shuffle the jobs around, and if they actually bring another guy in for a lesser position, as I'm sure the post will be filled by an internal promotion.

Usually when someone does something a lot and gain experience....they get better.   Not in this case, you’re getting worse in your posting.

So what?  Have you never had a job or something?  You can focus on one area but also help out in others.  Its called working as a team.

What is wrong with you?

Yeah, two out of three years in the playoffs, 13-3 and a game away from the super bowl is just Turrrable, just a F d  up organization altogether..., 😂

They all went to the pro days because especially this year with limited attendance by teams they needed to split them up. He’s not part of the college scouting team. Does he have a voice ... they all do to varying degrees.

Happy for the guy, will be a GM in the next few years. It’s a big loss for the Bills, hopefully he doesn’t take too many people with him.

He can't take people with him unless the Bills allow him to. You can no longer block an Assistant GM move but the Bills can block any other moves of personnel people.
