He does preface that these stats came against two of the worst teams in the league, but if Allen keeps this up the "inaccuracy" narrative should start to go away. Josh Allen doesn't face the othe team's offense. After 2 weeks, the Jets DVOA defensive ranking is 6th and the Giants are at 31. For the record, that is one bad defense and one top 10 defense. Did you know that Allen is still making those crazy across the body throws that get intercepted? And if the Bengals can get a little pressure on him he'll melt down and make all sorts of mistakes. I just got done listening to some clown from PFF on a Cincy sports talk show bring up the relevant observation that when he was watching his San Diego State Alma Mater play Wyoming Allen had terrible accuracy & ball security. I kid you not! That's what passes for a sophisticated analytics based assessment of Allen QBing in the NFL. I like that they attempt to quantify it. Its not perfect and mistakes are made and I wouldn't take it as the definitive take but its worth tossing into the conversation about a player. It seems like most people on this board who don't like PFF don't like it because they don't rate Bills players where they want them to rate them.
