Rumors are he is about to get traded.

Teams that are mentioned in the trend are

Redskins - Their Disgruntled LT

Ravens - Jimmy Smith and more

Dolphins - Tunsil and more

Bills - Multiple Picks

Colts - LT and Picks

that is all the teams I have seen mentioned in the Trend.

For what it is worth An NBA Writer dating To Dolphins for Tunsil and Picks.

The dolphins trading their one good offensive lineman would be pretty funny.

Seems that one has the most steam to it in the trend. Though Trent Williams up there to (this would actually make the most sense).

please let it be us and not some other afc team

Just my opinion, but I'd hate to give multiple picks for clowney.. less leverage during draft next year(we dont have many picks as it is now), and to sign him long term would be overpriced, rather save our picks and sign our own!!

Checked a couple sites and we are only missing our 7th rd pick. I wouldn’t say that’s not many

The Bills wouldn't want him as a rental. If they are after him, he would be another piece of the build. The Texans may not want as much as we think.

Well he is going to be a Rental for any team that trades for him. He cannot he signed to an extension until after the year is over

Honestly, the Bills had the #2 defense last year with a hobbled Murphy.    Is adding Clowney really going to make that big of a difference?   Especially on a one year rental?

It was a good not great defense that was pumped up by getting stomped in a few games where teams took their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half.

if this defense got an elite pass rusher, it has potential to be great.  I don’t think JC is an elite pass rusher but he would be the best DE on this team.  Definitely isn’t worth what he is going to get paid though.  I am kinda indifferent on getting him because of his lack of elite pass rush skills.

Guess what started Clowney trending is earlier today Ravens Pulled Jimmy Smith out of Practice with no trainer and Baltimore immediately began speculation about a Trade.

Bill O’Brien I guess has been trying to get Jimmy Smith for the last two years so that is What Likely started the Trending.

Yeah...thats why if the Bills were after him, they would have to be confident that they can retain him. I just don't see a rental. If they were to acquire him, it would have to be that they are confident in his ability to be a major contributor to what they are building and that he buys in to it.

Friend is a Huge Texans fan. He said Gaine loves him and was going to do a LTD. O’Brien said no and didn’t want him and that is what led to Gaine being fired.

I’m with O’Brien on that.  Sad because he looks like he should dominate.  I just remember him having 3 sacks his last year in college and thinking that was a little scary.

7th for Coleman. I still wouldn’t call being down one very late pick not having many.

I'm talking in leverage sense, 6 picks is not many for Beane to maneuver and trade up for a guy(like his 1st 2 drafts with us).. could be in minority, but I wouldn't give multiple picks for Clowney. Not for 1 year rental and certainly not to sign to a huge contract

Look who's here...interesting. Well maybe the second time around will work. I try not to believe in coincidences!

This doesn’t seem like a very “processy” move to me.  Several picks for Clowney?  No thanks.....

I wouldn’t want the trade either. But did Antonio Brown seem very “Processy”

Clowney is a stud. But I wouldn't trade for a guy I can't sign on a long term deal until after the season.

What about a 3rd and a 5th?

I'm serious.

I think he kinda' has to go for another player if traded now for the Texans to not end up with egg on their face.

Agree that teams not trading much in draft pick compensation for a guy who is a UFA after season and holding out.

Gaine would give the Bills a huge edge though if he was trying to get Clowney extended though.

Clowney has a lot of say where he goes.........he can just show up mid-season and still get his year of service if he doesn't like where he is traded.

I may be in the minority but I really hope it’s not us...$125 million is an awful lot of money for someone who is often injured with suspect work ethic...I would like to continue building through the draft and extending our own guys who have EARNED it. ?

Maybe I’m in the minority but I’m interested. Clowney could push the Bills into an all-time defense IMO. The one thing that the Bills didn’t do was get a ton of pressure. If you add Oliver, Clowney and a healthy Murphy...You can tag him again next year if need be. Let him know you’ll be signing him to a long-term deal. See if you can do it for Shaq/Murphy & a 3rd.

This Bills team doesn’t have a lot of holes. I think that they’ll be looking at a WR, pass rusher and maybe another OL next year. Clowney checks a big box and with the cap space and picks left they can address those needs.
