Orlando Tim
Strength is something that can be fixed easily as a pro- though likely not by September- the agressiveness is an trait that you are born with generally and it is extremely important.

I wasn't a fan of his lack of quick feet for being a Tackle in the NFL attempting to handle the new speed power based edge rushers, and I felt Risner was the much more complete Tackle with even greater utility value as well. My inclination is they will try and start Ford at RT as an immediate upgrade given the Guard depth we added in FA, but they may look to fill him in at both. Before I garner all the hatred of the board, Ford is a great OL talent that still needs refinement at the next level, but I must say that at the end of the day I'm still happy with this pick and even happier we didn't give up too much to move up two spots. What you say makes sense to me. I'm happy with either one, but would like to know the basis for the Bill's decision. They will never get into it tho. Plus, how is Allen going to throw to the skill player you want if he is on his back? I've been pounding the walls for skill position talent since day one. But from my very limited knowledge I've gotten the sense this draft is weak in skill position players. Add in the fact that Beane did make a play for Brown and ODB to some extent. Possibly a sign he didn't see a chance for a marquee WR in the draft and was exploring other avenues. I'll criticise picking positions that aren't a pressing need, or are not as impactful to the game. But I will never criticize the trenches. If you don't love Metcalf keep beefing us up on the lines. The trenches collectively make EVERYONE better. And we can search for weapons when the opportunity arrives. Lots of holes. Be opportunistic. Don't force it. I know, let the draft/camp/preseason pass before we know what this off season/draft molds in to. it sure does have the feel of something special is beginning to unfold with this franchise. LSHMEAB
It's really hard to understand his bench press reps.(19) He looks like a guy who'd easily throw up 25 plus. One negative number could mean a number of things. Anyone have a positive explanation? At any rate, he's exactly the "type" of mauler the line needs. We've got a number of quality players, but the majority specialize in pass pro.

We certainly need to make a concerted effort at the position. But trenches make everything easier. I hope Beane swings for the fences soon. I'll admit that I would like to see another option at tight end, but adding Brown and Beasley to an emerging Robert Foster and an improved Zay Jones puts the receiving unit miles ahead of the last two years. Buffalo's off season put them in a position where they could draft the best available. So far they have just done that. They can get a viable receiving option in the next round and even use some of their later picks to trade up if needed. I love the draft so far.
