Who is a top pick LT? I'm not convinced it's Jonah Williams at LT. This is a credible plan, btw, though I personally favor DL at #9.

I honestly haven't studied them enough to have any real idea whether or not I think anyone is worth that spot. There seems to be a lot of differing opinions as to the validity of any of the top three at #9

Brady gets the ball out in 2 seconds or less

Doesn’t mean the guy can’t play.  Sick of hearing this everytime an offensive lineman from them comes up in conversation

One of his starts was at Buffalo.

Handled Shaq pretty easily, I saw at least one pancake.  Shaq did beat him to the inside once.  Got beat pretty bad by both Hughes and LoRax on spin moves.  LoRax beat him with power for a sack on Brady.

He's pretty effective at cutting guys.  Don't like that he doesn't really keep his feet moving when engaged.

Overall good game for Waddle.  Solid player.

Probably mid-late rounds. This is going to be a skill position heavy draft up top I believe.

Maybe...If the top teams want to grab skill guys as overall this is not a deep draft in skill positions as it is in the trenches.

This is looking more and more like that first pick is either going to be a DT or a TE to me.......

If they take a OT its gonna be a guy later.....and are choosing to use free agency to retool this OL with veteran guys.....Ty is probably our starter this year and honestly deserves that shot......

Probably looking at

Dawkins - LT

Teller- LG

Morse - C

Spencer Long - RG

Ty - RT

A veteran OL to go in front of our young QB.......

......that's not named j. mills....?

Ok, well continue to be sick of it. The fact of the matter is Brady gets the ball out of his hand quicker than any other QB in the league. It also means that the people on his OL have to hold their blocks for a shorter period of time. If that makes you angry then sorry, not sorry.

I like this signing as you said, he's our swing guy. Imo, we still need a stud T and I'm not at all abject to taking one at 9 or trading down and taking a top prospect in the first or second. Dawkins is not that good. In his first year, people act as if he was very good. He wasn't. He was pretty good and very promising. Last year he regressed. He wasn't that good at all. Granted, no one was. But he is not a surefire LT at all. Ideally, I would want a top pick LT, Dawkins, Morse, Long or Felicano, and Ty at RT. With LaAdrian Claywaddle as the swing, the loser of the Long/Fel battle as backup G and Teller. That would make for a pretty solid line and drastic improvement.

i disagree and blame juan for screwing up the entire line. no one was good last year and the common denominator is gone. not only do i expect to see a much better line, but individual play of dawkins and teller....even if teller don't start.

Brady can and does get the ball out quicker than anyone in the league. But they also throw 40 times a game. And Brady also has more times back to pass when he just sits there, all day, with his blockers holding their guys out way longer than normal or other teams. If he can block for the Pats he can likely block for Josh. Not that he is a stud, he's a backup. But the fact that Brady gets it out quick a lot does not at all mean his linemen are not blocking. He has ALL day, all day at times.

I agree that Castillo was awful but Dawkins was not great in 2017, he was good for a rookie. And he was bad last year. And he was not good at all on the right side as a rookie either. He had a lot of foot problems. The point is, he is not a stud now and is just potential.

Looking at their FA moves, I think they continue with drafting on the defence with maybe a couple picks on Offence.

This allows them to continue building their defence, while quickly putting together an offence that isnt going to cost them games.

I like the fact that it appears that there is going to be a lot of quality competition this year.  It will take some time to get with one another but by mid year we should be markedly improved from last year.   Having a quality center should help a good bit.

I like the signing.  Now we don't have to rely on Mcdermott if we lose a tackle.  I notice Devin White being taken in some mock drafts after the Bills pick but I bellieve that he could be a great pick by Bills when he takes over the MLB spot and move Edmunds to OLB/ rusher.  This would be that creative edge rusher that was mentioned in another topic on this site.  I believe it will actually be a 3 technique DL cause White should be gone by 9 but if he's there don't be surprised if he's the pick

Sounds like an outstanding value signing.  Except for an injury in 2014, he might be a starter in the NFL today.  He's got a great scouting report coming out of college.  The only negative was the unconventional college offense he was in.  He's played both ends of the LOS, is athletic with a strong upper body and and smart.  I would guess Buffalo's only holdover at tackle from last season is probably going to be Dawkins.  I don't see see Conor McDermott beating out Dawkins, Nsekhi or Waddle.  I don't know that Sirles' ability to play inside or outside will net him a roster spot.  Waddle also happens to know New England's offensive system inside and out.

Do you think we draft one still?

Not in the top 2 rds... I think they have a good amount of depth where they don't have to spend a top pick on line help

Agree.  Strange as it might seem, this FA period has shifted the focus of this draft back to the defense for the Bills.  Not saying they won't look to get a TE or RB but probably only one offensive player in the in first 5 picks, maybe 2 if the value is there.

I’m smelling a trade. Waddle to LT, trade Dawkins, who was drafted for Rick Dennison’s offense, and draft a guy who can start relatively quickly.

Speaking of RB... man... I hope they can draft Miles Sanders... I'm a PSU man myself... when I tell you, he's a poor man's Barkley...I'm not just blowing smoke ?

Sanders is the best back in this draft. But nobody will consider him that cause of Barkley. If Barkley wasn't at PSU... Sanders would have every record including his squat record! Just look at his legs...OMG... he's built like Barkley

We can probably get him in the 3rd or 4th too! I haven't did my Mock yet... I usually wait until the week of the draft. But best believe, Miles Sanders is in there ???

I think Spencer Long is manning the other OG spot opposite Teller

I agree. I like Teller, and I think he will step up against the competition and will wind up starting at guard, and I have my other money on Long. I think Feliciano is the perfect backup.

LaAdrian Waddle is 2nd team Key and Peele All-Star.  The grammarian in me abhors the double vowel and would like to see an apostrophe instead, L'Adrian.

Omg, LOVE Key and Peele's East-West All-star names like D'Pez Poopsie and Myriad Profiteroles. If we could sign those two to join LaAdrian Waddle, THEN we'd have a real OL.

With all the FA signings on offense, you have to think Beane will go defense at pick 9.  The only thing I could see altering this is a trade down with a QB hungry team such as the Redskins at 15 or the Giants at 17. Right now it looks like the value at pick 9 will be a defensive player.

The draft is actually deep at both WR and RB, so I dunno where you are getting this from. There are 3 solid TEs and about 3 more pretty decent receiving options as well.

I don't have the same confidence in Teller as you seem to have. I don't expect him to crack the starting lineup.

Might not be anyone starting from last years O-Line. While I like bothe Dawkins and Teller, there is obviously going to be serious competition, and there's nothing to say that either of them are better than anyone else.

Ty could quite easily beat out Dawkins at LT, and as others have said, he didn't look great at RT (Dawkins) when he has played there. That being the case, Waddle could well be the better option at RT. Dawkins can then only go to LG if he's going to start.

Teller will have serious competition also, in both Feliciano and Long. Feliciano was behind some really good guys on the Raiders, and while the Jest signed Long to play center, he actually looked a far better guard for them, apparently.

Our starting O-Line could very easily end up being the 5 guys we've just signed, Ty, Feliciano, Morse, Long, Waddle and even that should represent a significant upgrade over last year. I've no idea if that will be the case, but if the competition pans out like that, I wouldn't be either surprised, or lose any sleep over it.

I absolutely love how they've gone about upgrading the O-Line.

Morse was the guy they desperately wanted, the solid, vet center, who will help Allen. He got the big bucks (and to no surprise tbh).

After that, they've found guys who are still hungry to start, as they have either done so with some success, before ending up either behind a better player on a depth chart, or sidelined through injury, and couldn't grab the job back. Or they have been very competent backups, stuck behind good starters. All of them have shown on tape the ability to be a starter, and we shouldn't have to worry about any of them being out there.

Beane and his back room boys, have, on the face of it, at least, done a terrific job in getting the O-Line group re-vamped.

I think he definitely had some ups and downs, but I like his upside. I do think Feliciano is going to give him a real competition, and I won't be mad if he wins. I think, as others have said, that Teller will be so much better playing with an experienced center. But I'm excited for the competition.

Trade Dawkins? Maybe That's your upper lip you're smelling. After signing Morse, DD is our 2nd best O lineman. And still on a rookie deal. Nobody would give up proper compensation for a trade with him IMO

Yes

Unless we take one in the first 3 rounds, I don’t see it....and I don’t see us doing that (unless) there is a run on defensive guys and we’re tempted to grab Taylor or Williams.

Dawkins - Teller/Feliciano - Morse - Long - Nseke

Waddle - Teller/Feliciano - Bodine

Thats a solid veteran group, with a lot of potential.

I wouldn’t be opposed to taking one of the highly rated OL early, but taking guys for the sake of depth seem like wasted picks at this point.

I agree.  I don’t see a can’t miss LT prospect in the top 10.  Draft best DT/DE if they stay at 9.  Grab a developmental OL prospect later.  We have a nice group right now.
