GimmeSomeProcess
I don’t mind assistant position coaches being given a chance to run the show. Getting retreads isn’t desirable. Better than getting Philbin here to coach oline

mjt328
Assistant O-Line Coach from the Colts. About 9 days ago, everyone was raving about the Colts blocking and how we needed to build our O-Line just like them. 16 1

JaCrispy
So he was during the Gaily regime....wonder if the hire means we will be running a similar offense, or at least blocking scheme. Edited January 15, 2019 by JaCrispy

Mountain Man
Decent pedigree in recent years. The Colts line was fantastic last year, and the Raiders the the couple of years before.

Chicharito
He had to have some input in Indy! At least we are getting a guy from the best online in the nfl this year opposed to hiring Juan Castillo’s assistant.

MJS
I seriously do not care one bit who we have as position coaches. There is no way fans know if these guys are good or bad. Edited January 15, 2019 by MJS 18 3

That’s probably the only thing worth while, I agree no one really knows. Him being around a good Oline last year is a decent start, he knows how it’s supposed to look. I wonder what he will think when watching tape on his new guys.

Ittakestime
My biggest issue with this hire, is the TE coach for so long. If all that experience was with the O line, I would be fine. I really think these hires tell us how other NFL personnel feel about McBeane's job security outside of Buffalo. FA could get ugly.

Warcodered
I mean having no qualifications to judge this doesn't seem like a terrible hire. I mean ideally you want someone that you know for certain will be good but anyone like that either still has their job or is trying to get promoted. blacklabel
The guy helped the Colts OL hold to only 18 sacks this past season, fewest in the league. I'm fine with that.
