YoloinOhio
This is a bit of a surprise given he is only 35 and very little experience. But he was OC at UC a couple years ago so there is that. 1 minute ago, Gugny said: This is his resume. MJS
Wow. Big jump from QB coach to HC. A lot of these hires have been boom or bust. Everyone is trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Just a few years ago there was a huge premium on NFL coaching experience. Those days are gone (at least until this fad runs it's course).

Gugny
Just looking at the names of some of his family members makes me hate him. I'm sure if one digs deep enough, they'll find a Biff, Skip and a Mitt: Taylor is married to Sarah Sherman, daughter of a former Green Bay Packer head coach Mike Sherman, and they have four children: Brooks, Luke, Emma Claire, and Milly. Taylor's younger brother, Press Taylor, was a quarterback for Marshall University and is currently the quarterback coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Taylor's father, Sherwood, was a defensive back and captain for Oklahoma and head coach Barry Switzer from 1976-1979. His sister, Kathryn, is a Special Olympics swimmer. His youngest sister Quincy resides in Oklahoma City.[12]

Broncos and Bucs went old. I really think it depends on the organization and what they just went through and i think a lot of teams are going for the best fit regardless of age. 28 minutes ago, Gugny said: Just looking at the names of some of his family members makes me hate him. Coach Tuesday
I think it's kind of refreshing that the league has moved away from retreads this offseason - lots of young offensive-oriented minds are being given opportunities - the results will be mixed, for sure, but at least it'll be something new in a league where innovation has been hard to find over the last 20 years or so.

I get your question now.... I didn't say hiring Zach Taylor was a win, indeed I said I knew very little about him. The bit that was a win was not hiring Hue Jackson or Vance Joseph. They might well have still screwed the pooch hiring Taylor, as I say, I know very little about him.

YoloinOhio
Just one year ago, this dude wasnt an OC. He wasn’t even the WR coach. Assistant WR coach! He’s never been anything higher than a position coach at the nfl level. I get that he’s not Marvin and not Hue and that’s a good thing. But his short OC stint at UC wasn’t great either. TC in St. Louis
I like McVay, but I think anybody but Jeff Fisher would have been successful with the talent he inherited in LA. Todd Gurley, Aaron Donald, Goff, and they went out and built a good offensive line. Fisher may go down as the symbol of mediocrity. They fired him when he was tied for the most losses in history for a head coach. Had he stayed one more game he would own the record. I think Dallas is going to beat the Rams this week. The Rams started slipping when Cooper Kupp got hurt.

Rams dumped old defensive coach and rolled with young offensive guy. then one season later Bears dumped old defensive coach and rolled with young offensive guy so That would line the JETS up for being the next “IT” team IMO.
