eball
...Austin Proehl. I really thought that his skill set combined with an NFL pedigree would give him a real shot to make this roster. He has not impressed. Maybe it's just a matter of acclimating himself to the speed of the NFL and a year on the PS will help. Anyway, that's a disappointment and I was way off.
Seanbillsfan2206
He was a 7th rd draft pick for a reason. Sometimes they pan out but most of the time, not so much....
McBean
He’s awful. Him and Foster are competing for LVP.
The Process
Foster usually had a step or two on dbs when at Alabama. Same in the preseason game. He needs to learn to adjust to the throw a little better. If nothing else use him to drag the safety over when his speed makes him wide open. machine gun kelly
I don’t see either one making the team, maybe the Practice Squad. Eball, you’re a good dude and if everyone who was wrong admitted it, that would fill up this whole board. Enjoy you’re weekend.

Foster is not ready to contribute to an NFL team and neither is Proehl. Next!

Obviously Dabol knows what the potential is or isn't. My opinion is obviously biased.....Roll Tide Roll! Before Foster gets released and sent to the Pats where he lights it up, it would be fun to see Mccarron to Foster just once for an Alabama bomb!

Fine. I’ll talk to Coach and have McCarron toss a deep one to Foster on the 1st play vs Cleveland. Then he’s cut on the spot and selling popcorn by halftime. Chandler#81
15 minutes ago, chris heff said: Kind of harsh. yeah, I agree and apologize. But simply being a ‘Bama fan isn’t enough to warrant continued investment in a poor playing, undrafted WR from a run oriented program. I suspect Daboll was asked if he knew anyone who had speed that may be flying under the radar. Simply quitting on a particular route because the QB is forced to scramble means he has little to no clue how to really play the position. ‘You can’t teach speed’ doesn’t mean you take years to teach a prospect how to play his position. I may be wrong. He may make PS. But I doubt it.

I had similar hopes that maybe he'd become our Edelman. I do think it's a bit premature to write him off just yet. He really didn't have a senior season, and it will certainly take some time adjusting to the nfl speed. I'd wait for that last preseason game before writing his nfl obituary... MAJBobby
He is what he is. A late round draft pick that has little chance to turning into anything. That is what happens with this late round and undrafted guys. Foster and Proehl both have work to do to even be put on the PS

hemma
If Proehl and Foster really want to play football, I think they'll need to keep working after our cuts & give the CFL a go next year. I don't see a place for them in the NFL. Not so sure about Foster's chances in the CFL, either.

Paul Costa
It’s a classic sports story. The ball boy grows up and makes the team. The college walk on gets a break and finds a way to lead the team. We all love the fairytale!! In reality it rarely happens??

Tasker had a terrific point on the throw. The WR kept looking back at the ball rather than see it, adjust his speed and then reacquire the ball. Running 20 yards with your head looking backwards isn't the fastest way to get from point A to point B.

Generally you don’t improve ball tracking, you either have that ability or you don’t.

Correct me if I'm wrong here...the object of the game is to matriculate the ball across the opponents goal line. This can be done in a variety of ways including running, catching and catching and running. The key ingredient in each is that the person doing the matriculation must possess the pigskin. You can be Renaldo Nemiah or Michael Johnson and it guarantees you nothing. It's is a wonder that he has the God given abilities that he does, but, unless he learns to play football he'll just be a fast guy. I hope he is able to learn. But, to answer your question, yes, he did have a step on his opponent.
