Have you ever been less excited for a SB?

The superbowl is this sunday.. and I don't even care.

Don't have plans yet, and again, don't even care.

Usually one of my favorite days of the year, but my excitement for the game is at an all time low.

Sick of watching the Patriots, its really gotten old. Plus, the matchup blows. Nick Foles, seriously? Shows how bad this league is starving for talent.

Even if the Eagles pull of the upset, can you really take pleasure in it? We get to watch a bunch of a**hat fans burn a city to the ground.

O well, heres to good food, company, and not getting 5-5 in my office superbowl pool this year.

Maybe they should light their butts on fire and jump off cars onto tables instead.

I suggest getting into a few superbowl squares, doing some fun family and friends bets on props, and rooting for the Eagles to pull it off.   Blount and Ajayi can hammer it, and the Pats have zero pass rush (the GENIUS traded Chandler Jones for basically nothing. Best DE in football this season) so Foles will have his chances.

Also have your Talladega Nights DVR set to a funny part so you can go to it if the Pats start pulling away.

I'm seriously considering not watching... Except for halftime. I'm not missing JT. They guy's a triple threat!

After enduring the two weeks of Patriots ball washing and seeing every soccer mom decked out in Pats gear how could you miss this? It probably won't happen but in the rare chance it does i want to make sure I'm there for the Patriots failure.

I'm having a SB party, half pats fans, a few Bills fans and some Giants fans. Fly Eagles Fly will be the war cry and we will bury our dissapointment with drinks and good food.

Go Eagles. I also put some money on Corey Clement for SB MVP.

No, I have never been less excited!

When I read your thread title I actually stopped to think - when is the super bowl.

That said, the only reason for me to watch is that I HATE the long off season.  It is way too long.

I have actually considered buying League Pass just to watch football in the spring. Ha Ha

I really don't  think I can stand watching another  disgusting Pats game.

Honestly until it is the Bills in the Superbowl I have about the same level of excitement I usually would have. I haven't even really seen the last few honestly.

When I do watch it's because I was invited someplace for the Superbowl party atmosphere. I usually get a laugh from some of the commercials.

I'm saying I haven't really been excited for a Superbowl in a long time. It's not me really hating on it. When it's a good match up it's worth checking it out. Yes I think it sucks the Patriots seem to be in it every year and that would be a reason I wouldn't go out of my way to catch the game but I wouldn't avoid it either.

My interest in the Super Bowl is at an all time low. For the 2nd straight year some friends and I are headed to the casino as none of us are interested in watching D-Bag Brady hoist another trophy.

When watching my money disappear into a slot machine is higher on my list of entertainment than watching a Super Bowl, it's pretty bad.

I'm very excited about this Super Bowl.

The two best teams in the league going head-to-head.  I don't care if Foles is playing instead of Wentz.  Ideal?  No.  But it's not like Foles is Tyrod Taylor.

Should be a great game and I'm looking forward to a day full of food, beer and football.

This super bowl is going to be so scripted, I see the Patriots just destroying the Eagles. It's the main reason I'm working a double on Sunday and betting all the money on the Patriots. I'm betting that 600$ on the Patriots and turning that into 900+. It should be a good weekend for me.

I think Foles will have to change his underware at halftime. I think this game will be to much for him, I see the filament breaking and the lights going out on the Eagles.

I will watch because of course I’ll watch. But I’m not excited about the teams. And I’m not turning it on until the national anthem. The pregame is always brutal after 2 weeks of coverage and I’m just not interested in any of it. I am excited about my menu, though.

What is on the menu?

I don't know.  The Eagles dismantled the league's best D a couple weeks ago.

Eagles' offense scored 457 points in the regular season.  The Pats* scored 458.  They (even with Foles) can go toe-to-toe if this becomes a barnburner.  And the Eagles' D is much better than NE's.

I haven't been excited for a Super Bowl since the last time the Bills played in one.

Some years, I don't watch Super Bowls.  Once the Bills season is over, I'm ready to move on to other interests.

Besides seeing a few minutes on a couple of them (as the game is on everywhere you go), the last super bowl I watched was in 1988 as my boss was a big packer fan (they lost to Denver).  This one will be the 20th year missed.   I will watch again once the Bills make it back ... if I'm around that is!

Doing this bet will make me happy either way. If I win the extra cash great, if the Patriots lose to the Eagles I will watch the DVR of the game and enjoy watching Brady's and Belicheat's tears. Either way I win.

The last drubbing of the Bills by the Cowboys was totally expected and not looked forward to at all.

New poll shows 98% of those who boast they won't watch (and nobody gives a !@#$ if they do, nor asked them) will watch

You're wrong.

I think the TV ratings for this game will be the lowest in years.

Not a chance. The jags/Patriots game was rated almost as high as a regular superbowl. No way the ratings will be down for this one

Nope. I will not be watching.

I have watched every Super Bowl since I have been on this Earth. The first SB after I was born was the first Bills superbowl, so I know that I was watching, even though I don't remember.. my Dad was a diehard Bills fan.

But this will be the first one in my 28 years that I will not watch. Not only because of the league's blatant favoritism toward NE, but it goes beyond that. The whole deal with them not allowing a veteran's group to run an ad asking people to stand for the anthem, but then coming out and saying that they're going to show all the guys kneeling.

Neither one of those things on their own would keep me from watching, but when you add it all up, it equals this guy not watching. I hope others do the same.

calling people who don't give two ***** about watching a predetermined game liars is pretty pathetic.

you really believe this game isn't scripted? no way the league allows their boy to ride off in to the sunset a loser.

so, call me a liar mac but I can assure you, I wont be watching that bull ****.

I'm with you. Only way is if my wife ends up watching (I highly doubt that!) and it happens to be on the TV.

Every year the menu represents the two cities in the SB. Fortunately it was not Vikes-Jags as the options there were less than exciting. Though I’m bored with NE foods, they are good and I (unfortunately) now have a lot of experience with them since they are usually in it.

Sam Adams beer

Maine Lobster dip

soft pretzels

New England clam chowder

Philly cheese steaks

Boston cream pie

Purple Haze martini (to represent the host city)

This is how I feel as well, might as well make some money off it. I see absolutely no way Foles beats this Patriots team. If the Patriots get out to a 10 point lead I think Foles will topple like a house of cards.

The Bills won that game 13-6 though (granted,  in my subsequent viewings of that game, I declare victory at halftime and get the hell out).

Why do you think he's riding off into the sunset??

There's no way they trade Jimmy G if there was even a whiff of him retiring.

I don't think the game is scripted, though I do think that the refs love the Pats and the league doesn't seem to care about the bias.

I would love to see the eagles win.

I'm from lower NY (hence the name) and I hate living in Giants and jets country.

My most hated teams are:

Pats, Giants, Jets.

Hands down.

Nothing would make me happier in regards to this game than the eagles winning, thus beating the pats AND angering every Giants fan.

I really don't get this mentality and whining about who is in the Super Bowl.  If everyone got to pick the ideal teams they want to watch then this would be the WWE and not the NFL.  I mean how many threads do we need about people wallowing in Pats whining?  Its just a game, relax and enjoy yourself.  And its the last NFL game you will watch until next August...so enjoy it, the offseason is long.

I look forward to hanging with my friends, eating some good food, fun betting around the game and watching the Eagles try and hand Brady his 3rd upset SB Loss.  People around here let the Pats affect them way too much.

GO EAGLES!
