The Firebaugh Kid
Take it for what it is, but a young man named Doran Wallace posted a pic with Dareus, going on to say that Marcell was telling him that he and Cordy will likely be gone during the bye week. Also criticized McBeane as well. Could just be...bs attention seeking nonsense. He seems very sincere tho.

Acattack15
Cut the fat. Â Dareus is a bum and sets a terrible example for all young players. Yes he is super talented, but he doesn't give a F**k. I'd rather have a less talented player with more heart. Â And this just puts the exclamation point on how bad Whaley and Overdorf were at negotiating contracts. The fact they gave his guy big time $ with no "out" or "void" due to suspensions and off field issues is a joke knowing his history when they were in the process of negotiating this contract. Pure stupidity.
CommonCents
I still find it hard to believe we'd take on dead cap space to get rid of a good player, simply to appease a coach's ego. That's pretty loose. OBD has been all about catering to players and coddling them to make them comfy in Buffalo. These new guys don't care that it's Buffalo, if you are playing and cashing checks you're going to work for it. It's a much needed change. If these two guys aren't with it then take the hit and get them out. Â Two highest played players hanging out in the training room isn't something I see these guys standing for. I doubt they move them but if they do I understand it.

YoloinOhio
I can see Dareus's issues leading to this but why Glenn? Unless it's just too much $ to pay a guy who's never available  @mikerodak The Bills paid Cordy Glenn and Marcell Dareus $1,102,940 to play Sunday. Glenn played 0 offensive snaps; Dareus played 22 in defense. Charles Romes
Glenn is a rapidly declining asset. He still has some good tape but nagging foot injuries only get worse. If we can unload him for a 3rd to some upper tier team for a championship run now is the time to do it.

KDIGGZ
Manning is on his way out in NY, they would be smart to trade him and tank the rest of the way and get their QB in the draft. Hes not great but him with our defense and we are an instant contender. If we are getting rid of 2 of our best players we better be getting something good in return. Probably out of the realm of possibility but one can dream!

hemma
Nuts. I'd pretty much given up on Dareus, but losing Glenn would be ungood. Â I hope the hell they aren't counting on Henderson to either care about the team or be productive.

GunnerBill
Cutting Dareus or trading him if they can find a trade partner would be a no brainer other than the money situation.... Â Glenn on the other hand would be a mistake. Has this organisation really forgotten what sub par LT play for a full season looks like? Because for the 4 years between Peters and Glenn it was horrible. LT is still one of the most critical positions on the football field in my view. Â However, this would not be a surprise. I did an analysis earlier in the year on where Carolina have spent their resources over the last 10 years and they have not spent high draft picks or, for the most part, big free agent contracts on the tackle position. They have at center.... but not at tackle. They have sifted through other people's cast offs to pluck a Michael Oher for an example. Even the contract this year to Matt Kalil (which is a lot for a bad player) is basically 2 years averaging out at around $5m a year. It is a bargain basement approach to one of the most important positions and I really don't like it. Edited October 10, 2017 by GunnerBill

billsfan_34
I still find it hard to believe we'd take on dead cap space to get rid of a good player, simply to appease a coach's ego. I dont think its an ego thing- Marcell has been a pain in the butt underachiever headache since he has been here. The contract doesn't fit his production. If the Bills can restructure his deal and ship him for a draft picks or a player or a combination of both why not? Â As for Glenn, he is a solid LT and we can see how the run game as suffered without him (lack of WR doesnt help either). I dont think letting him go is wise but the Bills will surely be looking at what they can get for him. Â This team is rebuilding but wont tank, the regime has too much pride for that. In a few years we all should be enjoying the new culture.

HappyDays
I've been thinking they might try and trade Glenn. They seem to think Dawkins is the future at LT. I just don't know what kind of return they could get on him with his injuries. Maybe a team like Seattle is desperate enough? Dareus seems untradeable to me. If they can find a team willing to take his contract god bless them. If we get a receiver out of all this I'll be happy.
