  1. Like I said, it only happens if society is ready to agree to it. See Australia.
  2. The "easy" solution would be an aggressive gun ban. That'd take a lot of guns out of circulation. There'd still be a lot of 'illegal' guns, but it'd be a start. But that's not going to happen until we as a society agree to it, and we certainly don't at the moment. If we keep the same amount of firearms, the only way to lower the amount of these situations, is to have some comprehensive changes on the social safety net side of things, AND a general societal change where we are kinder to each other. And, again, neither of those are going to be changed anytime soon. So... thoughts and prayers it is. It sucks. It really !@#$ing sucks. But it's the price of "freedom", I guess. https://www.vox.com/2015/10/3/9444417/gun-violence-united-states-america Some info on America's gun "problem" relative to other parts of the world.
  3. Can't imagine how much Cousins is going to demand now... I have a feeling we're tied to Tyrod until we magically draft the next Bills franchise QB.
  4. Man, I'd love love love to have Sammy and KB as our two starting WRs... but alas, not a chance in hell.
  5. I've been thinking similar... Smith and Cousins are already off the market, and I think Tyrod is better than the rest of the vets available to us. I really don't want to go into next season with a scrub vet, a rookie, and Peterman.
  6. They weren't exactly shy at getting rid of players this last season, it wouldn't surprise me if there's a few cuts/trades this offseason that we won't initially 'like'.
  7. Nope, but I'm also not expecting him to turn into a starter anytime soon, like most mid to late round QBs. He could still develop, who knows. We need to draft a guy, and either keep Tyrod, or get another vet QB heading into next season.
  8. I don't think we really can afford him, and frankly Buffalo isn't all that attractive if there's other teams willing to give the same amount of money.
  9. I'm down with Smith, or keeping Tyrod* * If we keep Tyrod we absolutely must get a deep threat or two again to take the top off of the defense. We sorely missed Sammy/Harvin/Goodwin style of speed this year (yeah yeah they were injured a lot, but they made Safeties think twice)
  10. Not at all excited about this. Hoping he proves me wrong.
  11. It's pretty sad... either the team that has stomped on us for 15 years, or the team headed by a coach who thought we weren't good enough for him.
  12. Fans may have been low on him, but I don't think the league was. He found a home pretty quickly in FA. He's had injuries, but they weren't chronic in one specific area, and when he had the opportunity to run a bigger route tree he performed pretty well too.
  13. I have no clue what sort of QB fits this system... the dink and dunk quick thrower type?
  14. Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love having Benjamin, but we definitely need a speed guy right now (I consider Jones to be our new Woods type at this point).
  15. While I think Benjamin is a great talent, I do find it ironic that an underperforming often injured WR is considered a #1, when Bills fans spent the last couple years saying Sammy sucks because he underperforms and is injured all the time.
  16. For the sake of clarity, can you provide a definition for the term "snowflake"?
  17. Peterman almost cost us a place in the playoffs, and then actually did cost us while said playoff game was on the line... and you want to hand the franchise to him? Yeesh. He *could* still develop, but he is pretty far away from being a viable starter at the moment.
  18. I'd rather see a candidate with political experience, especially at the federal level. I don't know why we always want to prop up celebrity candidates.
  19. The concussion happened during the tackle. He got his head slammed into the turf pretty hard, you could see it when he dropped the ball, his hand went stiff. The extra knee afterwards was just salt in the wound.
  20. We got A LOT of lucky bounces this year. We'll need to shore up our LB corps, and find a more talented QB. (this is assuming we keep our secondary in tact) On the coaching front, we need a better offensive play designer/coordinator imo.
  21. Nope. I prefer my candidates have at least a little political experience, either as a governor, or a state representative.
  22. Roman was a good play designer, imo, but not a good signal caller.
  23. He and Beane also got rid of plenty of talented players in said "process", so he's not blameless for a lack of talent.
  24. He could still develop, but he's clearly a year or two away before he'll have any chance of being a viable QB.
  25. If true, it's unacceptable and hopefully the Bills get rid of him. That stuff has no place on the football field, or in society.
