He seems like discount Gabe Davis, but without the lure of being "young and improving" and thus enticing the coaches to try to make him a viable WR2. Hopefully he's nothing more than a gunner and never sees the field for meaningful offensive snaps other than as a blocker on obvious run plays.

Bruffalo
Mack Hollins looked okay on the Raiders, but he's a bottom of the roster type guy, WR4/5 with some special teams upside. This shouldn't change anything in regards to the WR room needs, but eh... After Sherfield and Harty I'm not going to get excited.

Fill holes inexpensively before the draft. I like cats. Mack Hollins is not welcome at my house. We also eat with utensils here, so that’s another thing he wouldn’t like. 1 2

He's shown he can produce more with a good QB throwing to him than most #5 or 6 WR do. henry jones
Geez... not every signing is a big splash. You need these type of veteran guys to fill out a roster and/or if nothing else, push the rookies in training camp. We're limited with cash and unfortunately need to hit the scrap heap. It's just the way it is this year.
nedboy7
Diggs has become the most important player in my opinion. If he is not playing at a top 5 level we are toast next season. Edited March 13 by nedboy7

I can't see any team putting that number on him. They would be dumb I guess we'll see who's right. In my observation, when a guy is a former OPOY with multiple pro-bowl and all-pro appearances, he'll have multiple suitors. And multiple suitors drives up the price. OBJ was coming off injury and hadn't put up numbers for years - since 2019. He got vet minimum salary in his deal, true - but he also got $14M signing bonus paid up front, and carries a modest $4-$5M cap hit. For which he put up modest numbers of 35 receptions for 560 yds. The Jokeman
He's a good special teamer and gives us a little size. As mentioned before a Sherfield type.

Put Mack on the Bills as a rookie with Allen and he probably does a lot better in production. He can block all game and have 0 receptions on 0 targets. BeastMaster
He's Gabe Davis with better hands, but less big play ability Nothing wrong with this as a 4/5 WR

We were never going to spend on WR in free agency outside this type of signing. Anyone thinking otherwise was just getting their hopes up. This is richest and deepest draft at WR in a long time, maybe ever and we have a tight cap with more than half our roster turning over. That being said, this is a solid signing considering what our budget is for FA.

mrags
It’s almost like they’re pissing on us and not even having the courtesy of calling it rain. I can’t believe anyone is even remotely pleased with this pickup. Could have got whatever production he provides at half the cost from an undrafted rookie. 1 1

Royale with Cheese
Its just so funny to me that every year we go through a signing like this. We have to bring 90 to camp and we need depth. He isn't going to be a main contributor. Its the same people who get upset because we don't sign top contributors every single time.

I actually think with Michael Thomas's injury history that a small 1 year prove it deal may be worth it to show he can at least stay healthy for a season and then cash in next season
