WhitewalkerInPhilly
Only we could have a problem with hiring LSU's Passing Game Coordinator and the local Division I team's offensive coordinator as a lower level staff hire. Quality Control in a football staff is the kind of position you take where you want to build you resume and round yourself out as a hire. You see defensive and offensive specialists flip flop at that level, and it's part of the process of getting yourself in the pipeline and paying dues before you get a shot. Absolutely no one should be upset that we are backfilling this after promoting staff. 9

Steptide
One thing I'd love, is when they higher these coaches, if they'd also exlain what exactly a offensive quality control coach does

Doing the deep dives on the film to find trends and put together stats and analysis. They can start looking at opponents weeks ahead, as well as doing deep dives on our own film to find issues. edit: And pretty much any other job the regular coaches dont want to do. They are the interns of the coaching staff. Edited February 12 by DrDawkinstein 1

I get that, I was expanding the W&M connection since Brady went there too, and Brady and Mangas were team mates in the same WR room 2009-2011. Which is likely what helped get him that LSU job with Brady.

I think you would be appalled if you saw the offense he ran. I'm hoping that was because UB was bereft of talent and not because THAT'S the offense Mangas likes to call.
