Dude ran like a beast, especially after that questionable benching.  The days are dark, but something we can build on

Yeah we’ll find his potential just in time to have to give him a new contract which we won’t offer, then we’ll draft a other early round running back, not give him touches until

his 3-4th year because he fumbled and then we’ll lose him too.

He had a massive fumble on the 1st play of the game.... What was questionable about the benching?

He hadn’t fumbled in 27 games (I heard). Wether it was the first play of the game or not is irrelevant.

Team is fighting for their playoff lives, I don’t think it’s the proper time to do the stern but fair dad coach thing. McD also inexplicably sat Dorian for most of a game weeks ago. Do we really need these weird clean game morality boosters right now? The whole thing seems to miss the overall point of winning the effing football game. It’s like McD thinks he’s partially running a school for troubled youth, I swear

We're just going to have to agree to disagree here, you don't reward bad play imo with more playing time, fighting for playoff lives or not it sends a message to be better but I'm old school, I get where you're coming from though.

It wasn't irrelevant because when he came back in he had a fire under him which was the point of the benching.

He got touches. Suddenly he was gaining yards because he felt bad about fumbling? Is that how professional sports work? When the entire O line is involved?

The 2nd fumble was on Allen. Wow. 3 TOs for Allen. Should be interesting heading into Jets week. Wow. How many 3 TO games can Allen endure before McD sits him a quarter?

2 TO's for Allen. Ain't know way he gets the hit for the TO on the Gabe drop, that was money. But the 2 TO's and the whiff pass to Shakir on 4th and 2 left a lot to be desired.

Twice. The second one was  Josh Allen fumble. He dropped it before it even got to Cook.

Ah, was in a bar and didn’t see that on replay

I wouldn't put the mishandled hand-off on Cook; that was more on Josh.

Josh had one of his increasingly typical HORRIFIC games tonight,.

yeah I didn’t see the replay, so I thought it was on Cook, but I see now it was Josh

I say start Shane Buechele next week.

For those of you who don't know, he's a quarterback employed by the Buffalo Bills.  Jersey #6 (shades of Dave Chapple).

Have you ever played sports? Even at the basic level if you screw up you'll be riding the pine so to speak.

Yeah sort of and when I was 13 that may have worked, but these are grown ass men who’ve us thousand of reps at a high level and benching them for a mistake is a low level coaching move. You put your best guys out there no matter what. Bench Josh for his atrocious interceptions if that’s your coaching model.

So, if you bench one of your best weapons for a mistake, why does Davis get a pass for not catching a ball that gets intercepted? Or two weeks in a row not being on the same page as Josh & running a different pattern, one of which resulted in an intentional grounding penalty. Facts are facts, we move the ball better with Cook on the field. Don’t bite off your nose to spite your face

So sit Josh for his turnovers, sit Gabe for his non catch/pick…..sit the special teams coach for horrific play. Bills O was not effective with him benched. The Bills had a better chance of winning with him in the game….that’s actual critical thinking

It's important to keep in mind that our drives without Cook stalled not because of schematic issues or inability to move the ball on the Broncos D, but due to two drops on extremely catchable balls and a ?????? play from Josh Allen on a 4th and 2.

The Bills offense was schematically effective the entire game, gross errors in player execution ended literally every drive that didn't end in a touchdown.

This isn’t high school football we’re not teaching lessons. These are professionals. Buffalo, fighting for their playoff lives, decided to bench one of their best running and receiving options because Sean McDermott feels like he needs to prove a point.

So congratulations Sean, you really proved a point.

THEN WHY THE ***** DID MCDUMMY KEEP TROTTING GABE "FEATHERSTONE" DAVIS THE ***** OUT THERE????  Talk about a guy that needed to be benched, Jesus Christ.  McDummy is a *****in' idiot, keeping our best player off the field for most of the first half.  This is the NFL, not Pop *****in' Warner.

I agree Gabe should have been benched. Cook had 2 fumbles and regained one, Josh was a turnover machine.

The D played great until it mattered, those front shovel passes were the death of us.

It doesn't matter the level it is imo, as you said they're fighting for their playoff lives so that fumble cannot happen especially on the 1st play of the game. I thought the sitting of him was the correct call and it got Cooks head on straight. And the mention of Allen being benched, that wasn't happening but if you noticed Dorsey didn't bench him but ddidn't give him much of a chance to screw it up either, they left it up to the ground game for once which again I thought was the right move by Dorsey.

They didn't bench him but they did seem to take the ball out of his hands quite a bit and relied heavily on the run game.
