Oh this thread will be heating up in the coming days

We need a reliable player in the slot.  Regardless of peoples personal options on Beasley he was so clutch underneath getting open.

Yeah I loved Beasley. The end with him was confusing to me. The team and fans seemed to turn on him so fast it was maddening. I think Shakir could be that guy but we just won’t let him. Just another thing that makes no sense

Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. I think right now this is a Josh Allen thing and not a Gabe Davis thing. After that game and those horrendous throws he made I cannot make Gabe Davis a scapegoat. He had a drop. Josh needs to reexamine himself and get back to fundamentals. Fix the playcalling too bc it's a problem. Still super doubtful OBJ ever wanted to come here, this game bearing no consequence on any of it.

its not about one drop. 2 catches is unacceptable, i dont care if its 2 for 100, wed be better off with a bease stat-line of 6rec 50 yards.  we need him to get open so josh has a place to go, keep the chains moving, and do his part in drawing attention to keep defenses from locking in on diggs. hes doing NONE of that

Wait was this a real thread? One that youre basically bragging about lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll im 10/10 pissed with him right now but this is about as dumb as it gets for so many reasons.

a. there are infinitely better options to cut to open up a roster spot

b. he would have had solid trade value even as a #3 (when you made this thread, but also next year)

c. its his 3rd year, hes under contract next year, weird i know, but players tend to get better and fix mistakes

thats only the most glaringly obvious reasons

Yeah but that 6 rec 50 yard beaze line of last year is not the same qb the last two games. Where is Josh throwing the ball? Literally throwing it into the d's hands. Not the receivers fault (as far as I can tell without watching "film"). This game and the second half of the Packers game is on Josh. And ge will be the first one to tell you this. Second it's on Dorsey.

How was Gave Davis' production the last two games? He's not going to get any better, imho.

He will probably go to the Chiefs or back to the Rams. It’d be great I just can’t Imagine it actually happening.

Hes not choosing another contender over us if we match the offer.

We have a championship team.

An elite QB, despite the crackhead version we saw today.

His best friend is here.

And most importantly, we need him.  He knows he has a big role here.

We need obj. If not him then someone.

Gabe looks more like a 4th rounder than playoff gabe this season. Lots of drops and can’t get open. Take away two big plays and his numbers are awful.

Knox is just not a threat right now. Wish we had another te. We tried but oj Howard did not work out.

mck, shakur, kumerow is not gonna cut it.

solid 2 is needed.

Now that we have Hines as the full-time PR and McKenzie is struggling to offer consistent production, I would be shocked if Shakir doesn’t start getting phased into the offense more and more.  McD always slow plays it with his younger players in favor of the veterans, and plays the “long game” with all of the players.

He's not going to the Rams, he wants to win Super Bowls and the Rams are 3-6. I just can't see him going to KC,  rumor was it would be Rams or Bills, but who knows. I really think the Von connection will be a big part of his decision

He needs to figure out how to nip this mid-season nonsense in the bud.

Maybe that means a different approach to player development.

Cook/Shakir have shown more in their limited moments than I’ve seen from McKenzie (outside a few TD’s) … and I’m fine with a goal line package/gadget package for McKenzie.

by the time he’s ready to play the rams will be eliminated and Stafford might checkout on the season to heal his arm.

dude wants january for game film before free agency more than the pride of a team accomplishment

IMO there is a TON of egg on Von Millers face if OBJ is not signed in Buffalo

The Cowboys have the money to offer.  Bills have about 918,000 in available cap space right now.   Would have to do some restructuring to make a better offer than Dallas, and I would say they have as good a shot in the NFC as the Bills do in the AFC.  Ole Odell may have find himself the center of a bidding war.

LOL.  How was Allen's production the last 2 games?

Just because Davis is a disappointment as a #2 doesn't mean you cut him lol.  You can sign OBJ and still keep Davis.

Davis does have value.

Offer him a 3 year deal (including this season) with an out for us after next season

Why would he sign a deal where we have an out?

Just roll the dice and offer him a 3 year deal at the expense of having to let Edmunds and/or Oliver walk.

Can free up money for him by trading Oliver for a pick, if necessary next year.

If he wants to win a Super Bowl then he's not going to the Giants or Packers.  And frankly, are the Cowboys really winning it this year?

Seems like an easy choice to me.

Cool. Still doesn’t matter. Von will have major egg on his face. Shouldn’t have been so public about it being done ALL SEASON.

Then they can have him. I want the Bills to sign OBJ if he is healthy but only as a rental for this year.

Yep, as a rental he would be a good option provided he is healthy. Timing seems to be good too - he can be ready by late December. Plus, let's not underestimate his desire to make splash plays - they may be just what we need for a SB push.

He is a very talented receiver. He along with Diggs would provide a great 1 & 2 punch to the receiving corps. It would help opens things up for other receivers as teams would be focused on Diggs/OBJ
