Weather for Monday Night Game

On the radar now there is a large swath of moderate/heavy rain over the western part of Lake Erie and Southern Ontario... moving due east towards Buffalo.

Ya'll sure this will be through the area and outta here by 7pm?  Tailgating looks to be nice and wet.

I’m in Southwestern Ontario and that swath just passed over…lots of rain, lots of thunder, lots of lightning.  I’m about 130 miles west of Orchard Park, and radar shows this system hitting the stadium around 11am and clearing by 12:30.  Radar looks not bad after but forecast still saying it could be a wet evening.

Some pretty big storms going to cross WNY in the next few hours. Still think it should be clear around 2-3

Yes it will be long gone by kickoff. Tailgaiting should be dry by 2-3 pm.

Looks like it should be drying out around gametime at the latest and winds should be diminishing as the game goes on from 12 to 8 mph.  So at this time, just looks like they will be dealing with a slippery field and a wet ball potentially.

basically everyone is guessing and hoping

The consensus from about 5 weather reports that I'm seeing is it'll be gone a few hours before kickoff.  The field has good drainage and industrial fans that will get the field dry.  Might have to worry about tailgating but the game should be fine.

If it’s raining and Josh snatches a lightning bolt handed to him from the Gods, to ward of would be tacklers as he gallops over them, and making the world safe, and for a TD for the home team, is that a penalty?

No penalty, but New England will be awarded an additional draft pick.

Another hour or so and should be in the clear

Let's go

Appears it's supposed to die down for a few hours and then potentially pick back up around 4-6pm with 50-60% chances of T-storms again

EDIT: I stand corrected...updated forecast now shows very low chance of rain past 12 or 1pm.  Field should get ample time to dry out as long as we don't get a stray shower or two close to game time.

As of right now iPhone weather app is saying cloudy but no rain from 1 PM until 7 PM, at which point there’s a 30% chance of t-storms

Yup...I edited my original post with the updated forecast...chances are between 10-30% which is very low for rain post 12pm.

Hammer said it looks favorable for the game.  He said he can't rule out a shower at 5:00 but it should clear out well before the game....clouds moving pretty quickly.

For anyone around the Stadium in the last hour, holy hell was that a storm.  Multiple lightning strikes in a row.

One had me covering in my chair just as natural reaction.

It lit up my house and the thunder was instant and insane.
