With all due respect, go say this somewhere else.

Allen was the best QB, through 2 playoff games, in NFL history.

He gave his team a 3 point lead with 13 seconds left.

He never saw the ball again and his season ended.

**** off

Let it out. This is a safe place

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Did you watch the game? Do you really claim that Mahomes is better because Chiefs have won the game?

If you're starting a team from scratch which QB do you want?  Both are great.  Both are in the superstar class.  But I wouldn't trade Allen for Mahomes straight up.  Let's not overlook the fact that Reid and the Chiefs had a very good team before Mahomes arrived with Alex Smith at QB.  11-5 in 2015, 12-4 in 2016 and 10-6 in 2017.  The improvement Mahomes provided was marginal but the margin they needed to get them over the hump and into the Super Bowl and a win there.  What did the Bills do before Allen?  No playoff since 1999 that's what.  What would they have done without him this year?  Something like 7-10.  If he's not the MVP, the one player most important to his teams success then nobody is.

Josh elevates the performance of the players around him at a very high level.  Mahomes also does this but with the Chiefs its a little different because, like the Patriots used to be with Brady, their offense presents match up problems and confusion for defenses that Mahomes exploits.

What the Bills need to get over the hump here is a bruiser at RB and an offensive line upgrade on the interior and game plans that put less wear and tear on Allen going forward, and a defense that can make the big stop in the playoffs against a great team when the games on the line.

What I’ve been saying Pat is a damn good player but he from the moment he started walked into about as perfect a  situation as any young starter could get … with a hall of fame te and one of the fastest receivers in nfl history…in addition his head coach is known as one of the great offensive gurus and QB coaches in NFL history

To compare Pat to Josh is like two kids in school who study for the SATs one gets private tutoring sessions from a teacher whose administered the test…while the other guy lives at the library studying like crazy….to say they both started their careers vastly different is an understatement

Congrats to Allen who was amazing,  our defence and stupid coaching at the end cost us a shot at Super Bowl. How about kicking the ball along the ground to kill about 4-5 secs and then just hold guys on there line and take the 5 yards.  DUMB coaching killed us , only mistake Allen made was losing coin toss.

Highest QB rating ever in the playoffs, just inexcusable for this season to be over in the 2nd round.

This is an under appreciated part of Allen's game. Unlike Rogers who seems a bit selective in who he throws the ball to Allen will throw it to whoever is getting open. And if he senses an opponents weakness in covering a guy, even if it's more of a role player, Allen will mercilessly exploit it.  Think about how just this last season Beasely, McKenzie and now Davis have had monster games because Allen kept going to them as they were beating the coverage.  This shows a level of trust that would make any receiver want to play for the Bills and Allen.

Squib gives your opponent the ball on the 40 or 50 yard line without killing much time sometimes…clock doesn’t start until the ball is touched.  You also can’t intentionally hold players to manipulate clock anymore…they closed that loophole real fast after Harbaugh got away with it a few years ago. The real head scratcher is why we rushed 4 to me.  I guess cuz 1 sack ends it ?

But he lost, so only Bills fans will care about him being a "stud".

Plenty of stud QB's have never won a SB, not many care about such players.

People don’t care about Dan Marino? Lol

I generally try to defend McDermott and like the culture he’s instilled, but why can some of us fans think of things like this from our couches and the coaches don’t?  That’s what stings me most after this one.

Because fans don’t know this rule changed and it’s a 15 yard penalty now and coaches do lol each time you intentionally hold multiple receivers in that situation it’s a 15 yarder.  So they’re in fringe fg range after doing it twice with probably time for 1-2 plays and a fg.  You could probably get away with holding one guy but idk how much that helps.

Outside of nastalgic Dolphins fans, no, not really...

Same with Kelly tbh.

All Dolphin and Bills fans talk about are the glory years with Kelly & Marino.  And when I watch the talking heads spout off about QBing today they often talk about Marino.

I guess this is the new ultra passive aggressive way to trash Allen -"hey Allen is great but because his team isn't winning super bowls nobody cares".

I was ready to stand corrected, but have also been made aware that a team can intentionally hold once per game?

Either way, that whole sequence of 13 seconds will eat at me for awhile.

Results of the game sucked. On the bright side, I bet there are a lot of new Josh Allen fans converted tonight. He was unbelievable and I think outplayed Mahomes. Chiefs got better skill players to help Mahomes and ultimately win the game.

Better coin toss caller.

josh is the best player in the league !

if all the veteran players were redrafted...he'd be the first pick

Folks will debate that, but he'd sure be my first pick. It's not just his superior athletic gifts at the most important position in football. Leadership and intangibles come into play. Fella is the real deal across the board.

Allen is a stud,  Allen is amazing.

Now Josh Allen needs to overcome something that is hard to put your finger on. It's the penchant for the Bills (and Buffalo teams in general) to fail in the biggest of moments.  They can get there....they can get to the brink of a Championship, but he has to figure out a way to kick the door down.  This year, with his play in the playoffs,,,I feel that he kicked it down, but his coaches failed him..  Which again, circles back to a Buffalo sports intangible that he will have to overcome to get a Super Bowl.

I mean, it's pretty ***** impressive to realize he led 12 touchdown drives in two playoff games. No field goals, all touchdowns.

If we had gotten by KC, Allen would be talked about as potentially the greatest postseason ever.  Something legendary that people talk about for years and becomes NFL memes for decades.

Cincy's defense wasn't going to contain him.  And I think we would beaten the Rams pretty convincingly.

Allen did his part in the KC playoff game so IMO there's nothing he has to overcome in that regard.

Well, his mistake was he left 13 seconds on the clock.

I get you're just messing around, but in all fairness IF blame was to be assigned, Gabe has to take some of it. He was beating his guy mercilessly on the last drive and really in the last 20 minutes of the game.

But he shined the most in the last 1:54 of the game, where he caught 4 balls for 86 Yards 21.5 YPC and 2 TDs. The only yards on the last drive that he didn't account for was the 16 yard catch by Sanders and that's only because he took himself out for a play because he was gassed. Loved how he stepped up during the biggest moments in this game. TD before the half to tie it, 75 yard TD after going down 9 and 2 TDs on our last 2 drives when a FG wouldn't have helped us.

Frazier still needs to be questioned on why the secondary was playing 30 yards off the LOS. It shows that you are a coward and tells your players that you have zero trust in them. I’m still hoping Frazier is fired or hired as a HC somewhere.

Zero chance of that happening now, with the Flores situation.
