Buffalo is not in the top spot in the AFC as of this time. That's the Ravens right now at 6-2, followed by Tennessee and LAC, then buffalo

I posted this before the Ravens won, the Titans are done without Henry,  and isn’t Vegas still in first in the West?

That’s the problem. This team is clearly too relaxed. The OL in particular.

It literally could only be “just one game” because there’s only one game scheduled. Unless they start doing double headers. I find it annoying that no one says “it’s just one loss,” because that is inaccurate.

Like I said before, neither the Pats or the Bills are going to win the SB this year so who cares. It’s looking more and more that Brady repeats in Tampa. To be honest I would rather the Patriots make it to the SB and lose to Tom Brady, LOL!!!!

Except it's not.  This has been brewing for weeks.  Even when they were scoring a lot Allen was under pressure a lot, they couldn't run the ball, and they were terrible in the red zone. Those problems haven't improved, they've only gotten worse.  This week was the trade deadline and they doubled down on what they had in house. They were rewarded with this giant pile of garbage. Offensive line was terrible. Allen played like a rookie. WRs dropped passes for first downs. RBs essentially invisible. TE hugely ineffective but remained on the field as a receiver. Daboll did nothing from the offense that we haven't seen a million times.  What the offense had done very well for a time last year was countering it's own tendencies and setting teams up to be exploited later in the game with complimentary play calling. This year it's disjointed and ugly and a lot of the time it looks like they have no answers at all. Last year there seemed to be something different every week, a different wrinkle, a new formation, something.  This year it looks very stagnant and stale, like they are out of ideas.  Whoever is calling the plays whether it's Daboll or Dorsey better get themselves straight or this is going to get sideways on them in a hurry because the schedule gets a lot harder really soon.  This was supposed to be the easy part.  Today was a must-win game simply because of the opponent and they blew it. Big time. Now instead of talking about getting back into the home field advantage conversation we are looking back at the Patriots closing up behind us.

Omg the sky is falling. Y’all are something else lol

Last week's first half was the time for this comment.  They took that start against a pathetic team and turned it into today's debacle when it SHOULD have been the wake-up call.  Today's game should have been the response to whatever their issue was last week but it wasn't.  Next week's game SHOULD be the response to this embarrassment and if you are correct the Bills SHOULD win that game by 40 points. I don't think that will happen and I wouldn't be shocked if the Jets won the game outright.

Even the 90’s Bills that routinely ran roughshod across the regular seasons, had a complete throw away the tape type clunkers now and then—heck I attended one of them, a Primetime beat down by the Stillers on MNF in 1993 (we still make the SB, they didn’t), or the annual shocking losses to terrible Pats teams…the point is, we can still right the course if the correct coaching fixes occur, imho.

One one hand, it is one game.   Teams fall flat once or twice a year and we are still 5-3 in a conference where nobody besides maybe Tennessee looks like a dominant team.

On the other hand, it was a loss to the Jags who were blown out by a rebuilding Geno freakin Smith led Seattle team last week.  10 of the last 12 quarters have been poor since the win over the Chiefs.    Buffalo is underachieving and there are clearly some things that need to be fixed.  This means that no win on a seemingly easy schedule seems like a lock anymore.

Buffalo needs to figure this out fast.  Hopefully they can right the ship against the Jets next week but for the first time this year my optimism is a bit faded.

It's just weird that in some games, the coaches clearly outsmart the others, and in some like this one, it's like WTH. On offense mainly. Defense only allowed 9 points.

I guess the steam comes because in a few games like Steelers and this one, the gameplan seems to bury the Bills, not necessarily the other team. Hum, that's not accurate. What would be is the Bills O does NOT adapt to what is going on, except least week.

Yes the OL is damn weak. Who doesn't know that? You think Daboll doesn't? Then why let a weak OL that has injuries and guys playing out of their usual positions, forced to play without help? No Knox but put the FB, an extra OL once in a while, screens, leave a back to block, etc. Don't expose the weak point!

Appreciate the kind words, PatsFanNH.

It’s a mob here, though.  The pitch is hot, the pitchforks are in tune, and the hemp has a noose knot

do you disagree?  we have beaten no one, and the last 2 weeks have been awful

I agree. To an extent. All game I was waiting  for the one TD drive. I believed it was coming. Obviously it didn’t. This may be what this team needs. They haven’t lost to a bad team yet. The beat themselves against the titans. The Steelers was an opening day lull. They have always managed to beat the bad teams even when they themselves played poorly. But not today. They probably thought like most of us did: ‘we only need one TD drive. We got this.’I think this lights a real fire under this team.

One game yes but really its 1.5 games.  The first half of the Miami game was a cluster too.  Need to get the O line fixed fast.

Need to get the players mindset fixed more than the OLine. They think they are so good they can just do whatever, show up and win.

No mindset change will convert Cody Ford into an NFL caliber guard.  He is beyond awful.

The team kind of reminds me of the 06-07 sabres team. Super talented but if you watched them all season something was just off. Turns out that team lacked the physicality and toughness needed for playoff hockey

This bills team is super talented but something has been off all year

Exact parallel I just talked about...that Sabre team would still clock other teams but more often than not it happened in spurts where they would score 3 or 4 goals in like 10 minutes but the rest of the game its like they didn't care and would be badly outplayed.  Their PP that year was also so atrocious that I remember people asking if we could decline the penalty because other teams were scoring more short handed goals than the Sabres were PP goals.

Not sure the team was relaxed.  Definitely not hyped up like they were for the prime-time games.  But the Defense showed up again.  Great performance.  The play calling is not on the players.  The OL was crushed.  That is more lack of talent.  But mid game adjustments did them no favors.

It hasn't been just one game though

We have been out played and out coached the last 3 games

Did you see what the titans did to supposedly one of the best nfc teams on their home turf without henry?.....we started slow against miami but won by over two tds at the end....yesterday was the only game we were outplayed and outcoached imo.....lets see how the team handles it going forward...i have faith we correct it and right the ship

Nice post man

I just hope Daboll takes a real hard look at his game planning and reduce the plays in accordance with poor Oline play. Like J mentioned in the shoutbox, bubble screens, dump offs to the RB. Double reverse, do things to keep the opposition guessing. Take what the D's giving you. Game management skills. Something Marsha is the very best at IMO.

We need our TE back...

I still think the bills should beat the Titans and I will admit I am biased against the titans as I will always think they are a trash team with a trash head coach a trash qb, trash offensive linemen, and trash defense. Nothing will ever change my mind

The Miami game was won based on pure talent level

The jags game was very similar to the phins game. Except instead of hitting on the individual plays that would have won us the game like we did against Miami, we didn't against the jags

I have no reason not to believe they will correct and fix the issues currently plaguing the team but it is becoming a trend and that should start to raise some flags

It's hard to get real excited about our season when we just got manhandled by a 1-6 team..........sorry

Are you really this weak minded?  Seriously?  I don’t really see you on the boards that much when winning, but here you are in every panic thread freaking out the sky is falling and the season is all but over.

ITS THE NFL.  Teams get upset every week, we weren’t even the only major upset of the weekend, as there were four big upsets.

I swear this board is at its worst state yesterday and today than I’ve ever seen it.  It’s one game.  You are obsessed (as are others) on focusing on this one game and ignoring the rest of the season.

Coming into this week:  Number 1 offense.  Number 1 defense.  We came out flat and got punched in the mouth.  Never seen Josh hit so much and so hard in a game.  It happens, stop trying to make it a snap shot of our ENTIRE season to satisfy one’s need of wallowing in misery.

If this becomes a trend, fine you can panic.  But Geezus Christ, let’s see how they respond before we hit the nuclear panic buttons and stand at the edge of a cliff wavering on jumping.

Maybe a lot of players on offense just figure Allen will win them the game eventually.

My actual belief is I don't think this coaching staff is comfortable coaching a favorite and the game day decision-making shows that to me. Some of the game day roster decisions seem to be made according to the opponent (not playing epenesa against the titans) or the in game choices of kicking 20 yard fgs in the first quarter give the opponents little victories and give them confidence especially against a weaker team like the jags on the road.
