Did he also say that they out executed us?

While it seems obvious, if you’ve seen the video...I’m just saying, as the off-season evolves, I think this is a theme you will see with our additions, is getting this team faster

We’ve had the opportunity to draft some really fast skill players the past few years and we wasted those picks on guys like Singletary, Moss and Ford.  It will be hard to catch up with KC in that area...

All season it's been the glaring weakness on our roster. We don't have elite speed.

Looking forward to seeing who we get. Also, while it sucks, I wonder what we do at RB. Two 3rd rounders into Singletary and Moss. Yikes.

Edit: with regard to today's game. We got out played waaaay beyond speed. Their WR coverage and DLine crushed us.

You always draft the speed guys,  Metcalf in this game would have been a huge difference

Yes.

The KC defense and subsequent effect on the Bills O was massive. WR's couldn't get open, Josh was harried.

We need more than speed.

We need a strength, size & power on the lines. Being able to collapse the pocket, stuff the run, pressure the QB, etc. would in turn help our secondary. Our O-line has played great all year, but reinforcing that group & giving them a stud RB would make us less one-dimensional.

Aside from that, it's about execution. I've been a broken record on this for years when people b*****d about our Offensive Coordinators, but when you don't execute on the field, it doesn't matter who's calling the plays. We've seen it in many games where the playcalls have been perfect, but a dropped pass, an overthrown deep ball, a missed block, etc. just ruins it.

Star would have made a large “no pun intended” difference in the box.

They played Legion of Doom style like Seattle did back in the days...commit defensive holding and illegal contact downfield on every passing play and dare the refs to call it.  They have swallowed their whistles the entire playoffs so far and today's game was no execption.  Should have been better prepared to deal with it but we were not.

I think it all comes down to the pass rush...the Bills need to focus on bringing in guys who disrupt the pocket and can make things uncomfortable for the QB.

How are they going to do that when Allen is going to be asking for large bucks. We have to be able to draft better, but we aren’t.

McD, you didn’t get out-sped, you got outcoached BADLY. It’s like he didn’t even know what playoff football was about

Negative.

It was speed.

I even mentioned in the post game thread that the speed of KC was the difference in the game....on both sides of the ball.

We have a darned good team but the KC speed was able to do things to us that other teams couldn’t we aren’t a physically imposing football team that can negate speed.

Sounds like KC has drafted better than the Bills have. And yet people treat our management like kings lol.

Yeah, I mean we just made it to the AFC Championship game.

We must suck, huh?

Should I add an LOL to make my post sound dumber?

F*** yeah he would.

At least once in each game day thread I end up remembering "damn, Star is really missed right now." His presence was highly underrated by fans.

I agree with the past comment but speed could be an easy thing to fix in one offseason. Tyreek Hill was an obvious talent but a risky one that still went in the 5th round primarily as a return specialist. If you focus on speed and hit on the draft just like KC did with Hill, then you're right there.

I’ve yet to see a defense stop this offense when they’re executing at close to 100%.  The effort was pitiful tonight but you almost have to pray as a defense that they have an off game to have a chance.

Yeah you really need ball control offense. KC got a 21 nothing run because Buffalo punted twice in 2 minutes in the 2nd and it was 21-9.

We’ve objectively been one of the top drafting teams over the last 4 years. I’ll post the information tomorrow.

I get you’re upset but suggesting to jettison a HC that has changed the perception (and reality of Buffalo) after decades of misery seems a little foolish. He had us a game away from the Super Bowl today and has consistently improved each year as a coach. The reality is very few coaches outside of Belichick and now it looks like Reid have been pumping out SB year after year, if you keep chasing that with no direction it’s useless.

I want to feel like our trenches are going to dominate on both sides of the ball.

We need to find game wreckers in the front 7 and we're a Super Bowl favorite if we can find 2.  Look under every rock Beane.  I have faith bc you got Diggs.

I'm not going to overreact about losing to the Chiefs in KC (have we forgotten this was a legit road game with fans).  But I want this game in Buffalo next year.

Trenches.  Trenches.  RB.
