Boettger was NOT good from what I saw 2) Mongo at this point has most playing experience on the R and I believe would have least stress on his injury on the R side 3) on the other hand McDermott in his Monday presser stressed how "very intelligent" and "adaptable" Mongo is. We saw this when Morse went out, he pretty seamlessly stepped over to center and played well. So in response to your question: 🤷♂️

I really have felt McDaboll love weekly match ups and want to do what traditionally defenses have done. Having multi skilled and Available players on all 3 sides of the ball allows some creativity from week to week. McD used to chat that up early on. multi functional using match ups to win games 13 minutes ago, YoloinOhio said: I do think he will replace winters at RG. WideNine
We may have to be careful what we wish for... you want more attitude on your o-line? You get it with Feliciano. He will straight up tackle a d-lineman rather than give up a free shot on his QB. I am ok with this philosophy, why get called for a ticky-tacky hold while letting your QB get planted when you can just double-down and plant the guy rushing? Feliciano was the only offensive lineman on the team last year to be assessed both an unnecessary roughness, and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. I think offensive lines need at least one or two players that have some dog in them. Hope he gets some reps to work himself back jnto game shape. 1

Call_Of_Ktulu
I would put him at LG so we can have one side of the O-line that operates and functions normally. Just tell whatever waste of space is at RG to hold when they get beat.

I expect to see a rotation with Feliciano and Winters for the next couple games at RG. Not sure Winters can also play LG. Once Feliciano is back into game shape, he goes RG about the same time Ford is back at LG. In a perfect world the Oline is hitting its stride just about mid December, barring any injuries! What metrics are these, Grasshopper? How about a linky? I have a tendency to be skeptical of OL metrics as it's very difficult for the observer to tell what the assignment is and therefore if there's a mess-up, who failed? But some are better than others. Malcolm Jenkins was called for "roughing the passer" on Allen and "unsportsmanlike conduct" After the extra point, Mongo did this: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2019/10/29/20937576/penalty-recap-flags-were-mostly-a-non-factor-as-eagles-best-bills (scroll down) It basically resulted in just a bit of extra distance on the ensuing kickoff, which isn't nothing - my point is I think Feliciano was delivering a message about "don't mess with my QB" in a very calculated way that minimized harm to the team. The Frankish Reich
PFF warning! Don't read if you can't handle it ... ... PFF has Winters and Ford both graded in the mid-50s this year -- basically replacement level. That's really, really bad, and I don't think anyone here has seen it differently. So welcome back, Mongo! Worth noting this is another guy Beane had to have and traded up for. But hey at least he was able to buy some bling and his mom a new car so hopefully he saved some money when he's out of the league in a few years. I hate to say it may be time to cut our losses on Ford. Everyone was waiting for him to emerge as a solid player when he got shifted to his "natural" position at guard, but it ain't happening. I'm still puzzled about Spain, who was no great thing but was better than Winters/Ford. Hell, so was Vlad Ducasse. That's how bad our guards have been. Morse is carrying a huge load right now.
