BigdaddyinOrlando
Like it, was best in zone coverage and is very familiar with the system. Nothing lost if it doesn’t work out.
BuffAlone
Hopefully returning to a zone scheme will improve his play some. He's been dreadful as a man cover corner

zow2
Absurd. Hope the current Bills DBs get used to Norman getting toasted and then blaming the other DB’s for the blown coverage.
machine gun kelly
I know he didn’t do well in Washington, but I believe Washington was a man coverage team, and it is a 1 year prove it deal for around $6 mil. He did do well in Carolina under McD in a zone coverage scheme. Given this is a low risk deal and we already have White, Poyer, Hyde, and now Norman, could be good. Now, I wonder if they sign Kevin Johnson which I hope they do, will Wallace stick around? Thoughts by my TBD colleagues?

aristocrat
guy has been healthy for his career so we're not signing a guy who we pray will be healthy next year. we have a lot more talent on our d and better coaching and scheme fitted for him. this could be a very nice signing.

BringBackFergy
Prediction: Josh Norman beats Vontae’s record and retires at the 8:42 mark of the 1st quarter, Game 2. 2
Ridgewaycynic2013
This signing should satisfy the ‘pitchfork, tar, and feathers crowd’. Played in Carolina, and level of play being questioned by many. Time will tell.
JMF2006
Well no need to worry about a corner at 22 Should be a Safety Rush or WR
Beast
Yeah, I'm going to lean on the side of Beane and McDermott....you know, two guys that know Norman's game inside and out and how he will fit into the Bills scheme. 13

He will be a Bill this year.

Just don't get your hopes up for Norman or you will be sorely disappointed. I'm not questioning McDermott's defensive prowess but he's not a miracle worker. That's an expensive signing just to get a vet in the DB room. Color me extremely skeptical on this one.

Smitty75
Very good pick, i like it ! 6M for 1 year is a very good deal imo, we have nothing to lose with this one.
bkep32
With tre' on the other side we dont need josh norman of 5 yrs ago. He is back in the scheme were he flourished so let's wait and see. It's a 6mil dollar deal with 8mil in incentives. If he hits those then the Bill's def prolly had a good yr. Let's reserve judgement until the season plays out. I think the backend looks sick..White, hyde, poyer, norman Edited March 9, 2020 by bkep32
machine gun kelly
I was thinking the same thing Clemfield. To have White, Poyer, Hyde, Norman, Johnson as he wasn’t really expensive, and Wallace, we have depth. Norman’s 1 year deal is incentive laden so they could cut him, and I liked Johnson last year. Given that last game where we had to have McKenzie play CB as we were so depleted tells me we keep all of these players. WGR is actually reporting very fairly today.

I will take that bet V Davis looked horrible in pre season and you could clearly see he couldn't run anymore after that groin surgery. The heat in the stadium was unbearable that day and I bet it was 20 degrees hotter on the field. He just picked a very bad moment to realise his career was over.
DCOrange
A little high considering his last couple seasons, but it's a one year deal and we have money to burn so who really cares? 1/4 on the free agent signings I feel pretty confident about, though this was easily the one I was most confident in. ROCBillsBeliever
I'm completely okay with this. McDermott will put Norman into situations that suit him best, and squeeze the best out of him. And I would think that coach knows Norman well enough that we aren't in for another Vontae meltdown. Putin
I like the signing , we needed an upgrade at the CB-2 position and I believe we got that , Wallace was getting burn a lot last year , I like K Johnson and I hope we bring him back ( at a reasonable price ) him and Wallace as depth at 3 & 4 that’s not bad IMO !! GO Bills !!!

Buffalo Boy
My first thought on what he brings: Infectious Attitude. JN is one of those strange, goofy personalities that you can’t help but like if he’s on your side. I see McBeane understanding that the window is opening for a SB run and they are going to try to get this team competitive both physically and emotionally.
