Memo to Brandon Beane you NEED WRs

They need a #1 WR over 6'2" regardless of the price. It's not even debatable at this point.

Green is old and injury prone. Who knows if he has anything left.

I'd still take Green any day over Duke.  Draft big and sign BRESHAD PERRIMAN.  Use Green as a #3-4 guy and create some serious mismatches.

We now know Duke is not the answer , we need a stud # 1 WR

What are people talking about with Duke? Are people really blaming him for the catch he didn't come up with in the end zone? That would have been spectacular, and he did make several other huge plays today.

He threw him out of bounds.  Watch the play again.

You clearly have an agenda if you are defending Brown and criticizing Duke. Duke kept drives alive today with catches no one else on our roster could make.

They significantly upgraded the WR position this year but it's not where it needs to be and I am sure Beane and McDermott know that. Plan options:

Plan A: If they can sign Amari Cooper (probably a long shot), do it.

Plan B: If AJ Green ends up having to take a 1 year prove it deal because of his age and injuries.

Regardless draft 1-2 WRs, it's a deep draft. Pick one in the 1st or 2nd round, one in the late round because it's a deep draft.

A WR corps of Brown, Beasley, Cooper/Green and a top draft pick that's a good group (plus Roberts for returns). Late round draft pick, McKenzie and Williams fight it out for WR6 spot.

They draft 21-24.

who they sign in FA affects draft priorities.

id be fine getting 4 picks in the top 3 rounds and using them on WR, OL, OLB, BPA not necessarily in that order.

id like them to keep as much of the DL and top 15 on the D as possible.

i dont need to hold onto aKR/PR who only does that. You can use a 3WR/3RB/3CB in that role

Why, thank you so much for such a deep and thoughtful post. Tell us, how would you have better spent your resources? You only get so many shots. Please tell us what you would have done better.

Pretty obvious don’t trade up for Cody Ford when AJ Brown and DK Metcalf are staring you in the face  ?

Im voting for AJ Green and BRESHAD PERRIMAN in FA.  Throw in a big fast 1st round rookie as well.  Stock up and leave Allen with no excuse next year.

Greene will be 32 next season. Plus after spending all those years losing with Cincinnati, do you think he will come here?

According to some here, that is exactly the type of play makes all the time. That ball hit him in both hands. That ball should have been caught. He had another critical drop in this game. He's jag. Hopefully we draft a wr and pick one up in FA.

That was  a whiff on their part  I dont think there is any drop off from Nsecke to Ford  Worst of all they still need to get a RT and move Ford inside  I sincerely hope they dont dig in with him at tackle so by where he was picked

Nobody ever gets it 100% correct, but I am SURE I’ll trust our FO over some internet guy using hindsight (and STILL probably getting it wrong).

People forgot how pathetic our OL line was last year and we all knew that getting the OL fixed was the #1 priority going in to offseason

Ok maybe not letting Robert Woods who wanted to stay here just walk out the door ?‍♂️

Please show your work. Show me something substantive that says Woods wanted to stay here. Not just the polite “love my guys stuff”, something real. He probably said the right stuff, and loved moving on to LA. Prove that wrong.

Not having any true playmakers in the passing game finally did us in Browns tap shoes and Williams end zone drop that’s another 8 points right there

We certainly need an upgrade at WR but we must get better QB play also. A RB that can pound it would be nice too.

Debo Samuel, DK Metcalf, N’Keal Harry. Anyone of those guys would have been an improvement over anyone not named John Brown.

And you think that would have had more of an impact on this year's team then our young DT?  He has been DOMINATING and gaming all year.

If ppl want to complain about not taking Metcalf and taking Cody Ford (who I still like as a OG) then a case is there to be made......but once again.  Did anyone plan for Spain and Jon F. to be solid?  For Nescki to get hurt so much?

I think Beane JUST FINE with his last 2 drafts.....it just takes time to do a full rebiuld like we did and biuld the team back up in most cases.   Playoffs in 2 of the last 3 years.....two strong drafts.....one more should do it.

I FULLY expect us to be getting better offensive talent in the offseason.

Duke is worth keeping as a #3, along with McKenzie.  Foster does nothing outside of special teams.

It's looking like Ford is Beane's biggest draft miss at this point.  Every team has them and they end up being costly, but it is compounded by moving UP for Ford.

Far too soon to know.

Not saying right or wrong, but certainly too soon.

Not Harry... he drops a ton of balls. Patriots fans despise him.

We should have drafted AJ Brown over Cody Ford... with Nsekhe we had a starter at RT. I like Ford... especially for the future but AJ Brown would have filled a much bigger need on this team

hindsight AJ Brown would be the wr1 we lack

Apparently it is to the front office

In there defense you can't fill all your holes in one off season, Brown and Beasley were nice off season pickups last year, don't ya think? There isn't a tree that I know of that grows elite receivers?

Too early to say on Ford. He could be a really good LG. I’m not even ready to give up on him at RT yet. It’s really tough to label someone a miss after 1 season.

When do you pull the trigger?  Training camp is the obvious answer; only problem is that occurs well after the draft.  At the very least, they need to bring in and/or draft a RT; whether they want to give Ford more chances, or not.  Ford's spot cannot be guaranteed next year.

I’m assuming the Bengals will tag AJ Green and try to trade him.
what would he cost to play one year with under the tag? Do that and draft Shenault in round 1.
your receivers could be...

Green

Brown

Beasley

Shenault

Roberts

Plus one of McKenzie/Foster/Williams or even another later draft pick.
