Dopey
Since the beginning of training camp, my concern coming into the first 3-4 games of the season has been the o-line. I love the off-season pick ups and drafting Ford. My concern is with so many new faces and moving parts, how long will it take for them to gel? Morse being out for most of the training camp has to be a factor. Considering the talent the Jets have on the D-line and it being their 1st game together, we did a pretty good job. I think we're going to see one hell of a line once they get a few games together under their belt. 7
Bobby Hooks
Why so many concerns? We’re fans, there are people whose job it is to worry about these things. Let them put in the work. Just enjoy the games. It’s not like any amount of us stressing/worrying will affect the outcome.

billsfan_34
O line should gel as the season goes on. Morse just saw his first live action since last season. Ford started his first game in the NFL- I truly believe he is better suited for guard. Let him maul on the inside in Incognito fashion. Overall line play was pretty decent- at times Allen had a real nice pocket and 3rd and 4th quarter there was some big holes in the run game.
NoHuddleKelly12
Agreed--can you imagine the pressure the Jets could've been putting on Allen on the interior of the line with Bodine or Groy handing C duties? <Cold Shivers> 4

TOboy
I thought they held up really nicely in pass protection. The run blocking was a bit spotty. They certainly opened a couple of nice holes for Motor, but they struggled a fair bit too. Particularly when the Jets knew they'd be running the ball (which is the toughest time to do it). Hopefully a little more time to gel will help. The fact that they've shown they are willing to throw the ball should also keep teams from loading up the box. I'd love to see Ford at RG and Ty at RT next week.

JackKemp
I noticed an immediate difference in comparison to last year. There was more team work amongst the lineman and their technique and nastiness was better than any point last season. Just think, they can only get better barring major injuries. RyanC883
Great revamp of the O-Line by Bean. The Jets run D is NASTY. Singletary looked like a combo of Shady and Gore. Love his running style. I expect better games from Gore going forward when not facing the Jets caliber run D every week.

It's almost as if they got rid of their out-of-touch PoS OL coach and replaced him with someone who demands aggression and replaced the nonsense/weak players like Bodine and DuCasse with actual pro players. Do they go to the stats book to see that only 0.005% of teams come back after 4 turnovers or do they go we're down 2 score with 18 to go. We can do this. We keep hearing how special this locker room is, how united they are. I'm ready to believe in them and trust the process. I'm old enough to remember the way the 4 SB team was built and this team reminds me of that. Relax and enjoy the ride.

JESSEFEFFER
Fixing the o-line was priority #1A for Beane. It looked fixed. Nice pocket most plays, some nasty finishes, athletic movement on outside runs. The whiff by Dawkins may have been because he was gassed by the pace and number of plays. That is a thing for 300+ lb. players. The penalties were nearly nonexistant. The Jets o-line did not give Darnold the same benefit and it showed.
PaattMaann
It'll be interesting to see what they do with Ford moving forward. He might actually be riding the pine (not the worst thing in the world right now). Ford started at RT, but didn't have the best couple of series and he was benched for Ty, then they started rotating series. But Ty got the entire 4th quarter I think. Feliciano is a stud, he needs to start at RG, period. Dawkins, Spain, Morse and Feliciano look to be pretty set, and played pretty damn good against a great d-line in week 1. Ford/Ty will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

If he sits, that means we are talented and deep enough to bring him along slow and not rush him. If we HAD to play him due to a lack of good options, I would be concerned. Right now, if he plays it's because he's one of the top 5.

yungmack
It was the first real game this line has played together, with a center who hadn't really played with them at all, and they looked like a solid, middle-of-the-pack NFL unit. In their first game! I fully expect them to be a dominant unit before much longer.

I wanted to be able to give Cody (Ford) a little bit of a break in there just to take a look at things, talk to him on the sideline, give him a chance to watch. So that was scripted out. Wasn’t what Cody did or didn’t do. I thought, in fact, he played well at times in there. Good to have guys that can step in and play, and guys that maybe weren’t the starters that were prepared to play. And I think that goes a long way in terms of winning games as well.” 2

JESSEFEFFER
CBS did not give good coverage on the play but I think the Feliciano false start was on Morse. It looked like Josh wanted the ball and the rest of the offense was ready to go but Morse forgot the snap count. The penalty on Philips was not covered well either but he was likely tripped or pushed into a stumbling, low hit.
